I had one mystery snail. A friend of mine got four, and I got jealous, so I impulsively bought a new snail on Amazon while also buying toilet paper and comic books, because, honestly, Amazon, you know who I am.This was my first exchange of goods and services with Aquatic Arts, though I have purchased and received several living things in the mail now, which really, is just odd. I have had a Betta, had four other snails (be cool, I shipped two off to a better life, because four are too much for one five gallon;one did pass, I think it was from fast living,) a number of plants and moss things, and one tiny, mosquito-sized baby shrimp, all of whom arrived, oddly, in boxes. All these things have arrived alive, though the shrimp died promptly from shock despite efforts to the contrary, and who to date has provided the only $20 lobster dinner my betta will ever have. None of that is about Aquatic Arts, who packaged this one, tiny, 1/2 inch snail with such love that you'd think he pooped pearls. It's unlikely he will, but I am a hopeful person.One thing I would recommend is to be careful when opening your shipment from Aquatic Arts. The completely recycle-able, post-consumer, eco-friendly batting that they use to insulate boxes is a much more responsible choice than styrafoam, and like many responsible choices, it is wholly inconvenient. It will poof out of the box like mushroom spores when you unpack it, so do your best to be standing near the recycle bin, or on the antique carpet of someone you hate, when you open it. This terrible substance is, however, utterly effective, and the small snail, now known as Prince Howitzer, was clearly alive and well in his small, damp cup buried deep inside his insulation. He began moving around almost immediately and despite his small size acclimated well to a tank that contained a much bigger mystery snail, Biggie Smalls, and Peter the Betta fish, whose primary activities are pooping and hating, respectively.For those who have wondered, yes: your betta can probably live with mystery snails. If you consider yourself to be a Good Person, watch your snail and your betta meet for several minutes. Some bettas will try to nip the snail's antennae, others will be too stupid or too smart to do this. Peter did it exactly once, however, since then, Biggie has grown to be much larger than he is, and sometimes throws herself from the top of the tank and tries to land on him, like a slow, but very sincere, carpet bomb. He no longer harasses the snails.The folks at Aquatic Arts send a letter along with their once charges, and it is easily as long as this review, which is long. It is a heartfelt and, considering the average literacy of the internet, a wholly literate communication chronicling the genesis of their small family business. Even if you truly do not care where your goods and wares come from, I think that even the biggest fan of sweatshop goods and GMO's will find dealing with Aquatic Arts a personal and refreshing experience. As for Prince Howitzer, well, he is as good and as kind of a snail soul as they come. Really blue, too. Real cutie-pie. I mean, I assume if you are reading this that you are into snails, right? Then you know how cute they are when they eat carrot sticks, right?

Absolutely love my little snail, but when I bought him amazon said the delivery would be around oct 5th, but the package was delivered on the 28th of september, and because I expected it to come in october, I wasnt checking for updates very often, until one day I looked and it said it was delivered two days before I saw, and I rushed to the mailbox and luckily he was fine and is doing well, but he was SO cold I thought he would surely be dead.But aside from that, the snail is completly fine so far, seems healthy and active, definitely would buy from here again and probably will :)

Amazing store! I ordered 3 blue mystery and they sent me an extra!!!!

All 6 were dead! I acclimated them to my tank put them in and they only floated for 36 hours. I finally checked and all were dead.

I was happy to find that the mystery snail arrived alive and well. After acclimating and gently placing in my tank, it soon moved to a shadowy place. After a week, it is still very shy and only comes out with the lights off, but seems to be doing well. Very well packed. The only thing about the snail that I wasn't expecting was its size. It is enormous! I had read in the listing that the snails are shipped while they are small (1/2" or so) so they can be enjoyed for longer, as their lifespan is usually only around a year. This blue snail is very large - well over an inch. I am hoping it isn't too old. It also seemed to have a chip or hole in the twist portion of the shell, but so far it doesn't seem to have affected its health.

So far so good snail seems happy in the tank started eating within minutes of being in the tank lol.

I thought for a long time about how to review this. The snail arrived quickly and alive, which is what matters most, but I wasn't thrilled with the experience.The tracking number was wrong and there was no communication.I realize that blue snails tend to be more on the grey side, but the color quality is pretty poor. A few days after it arrived I saw some beautiful, blue snails for less money elsewhere and I wish I hadn't purchased from this seller.I'm not sure that the snails received the best of care. The shell is a bit pitted and seems like it lived somewhere with algae. He seemed very traumatized and it took about 2 weeks for him to acclimate to my turning the light on.If you buy from this seller, the snail will likely arrive safely and on time, but will be overpriced and not have the coloring advertised.

The media could not be loaded. I was supposed to get a blue mystery snail, but I think I got a purple mystery snail it's still okay least I got it alive. I really love the snail thank you. It has a clam tank mate so least their is some movement around the tank. I really love the snail I love 💕 snails. The quality was nice and the appearance beautiful and black with cute orange dots. I am so happy it came in healthy thanks. I am planning on ordering more later on as well
