Is the earpiece good?

The earpiece works really well with the walker talkie. It’s a little difficult to put in but once you got it fitted it works really well

Can i use the vox model out of the box?

Yes, it can. When the channel position is between 1 to 5, press and hold the PTT key and monitor key(both on the left side) at a time, and twist the ON/OFF knob, then you will hear the voice ”VOX on” which means that the VOX mode is activated. Then you can start to use the VOX function for communication. Tips: Before that, please make sure that the channel frequency and CTCSS/DCS are same as other radio. If you have any question, please feel free to contact us.

Are Water proof? Do you have spare parts available?

They are moderately water resistant (meaning if some water gets splashed onto the radio, they should be OK), but getting them really wet or submerged in water it will definitely kill them (as it will pretty much any 2-way radio including ones that cost 10 times as much as these). Regarding spare parts, we treat them as disposable and when one goes down, we keep whatever parts we can (antenna/battery/knobs/belt clip) and just throw the rest away. At less than $15.00 each, they aren't worth spending alot of effort on repairing beyond that.

Does this walkie talkie have a belt clip to hook on to something?

Yes, the walkie talkie comes with clip for each one, so that you can clip the radio to your belt or pocket.
