what is the length of the unlit cable from last light to battery pack?

Let me rephrase my question... if the cable is cut can the off-cut be used with a separate power supply? or is there no way to connect it?

If you can solder, you could easily cut the non LED part of the wire, to either use a 3v PSU, or (more easily) use an inline resistor so you can use it with a standard 5v USB plug.

Can mutiple lengths of wire be connected to a single power supply ?

Hello, this is ok, but the total length of the wire can not exceed 5 meters, more than the battery driver can not bring up, affecting the brightness. For example, if you want to connect 5 wires, each wire can only be 1 meter in length.
