I invariably relate specific foods to authors. I can't help it as a bibliophile. Some authors have specific food items. In example, Terry Pratchett with Commander Vimes and bacon sandwiches. McVities' cookies are related, in my mind, to sundry British authors. These are the assumed biscuit of choice whenever tea and biscuits are happening in any book. The Chronicles of St. Mary's and their endless tea in a dilemma? They must be having digestives with it! After all, time travel really makes me hungry. . and anything dipped in chocolate, such as these, are chosen prior to those biscuits not dipped in chocolate (Maxwell says so herself nearly).

Yummy to my tummy

While on vacation in the Caribbean, I bought some Devon's chocolate digestive "wheatmeal biscuits". They were so good that I immediately searched for them to purchase online. Unfortunately, I found out that they were only available for sale in Trinidad & Tobago. I was very disappointed until I found these McVites version online. I ordered them and they were shipped by Amazon very quickly. To my delight, they were just as delicious as the ones I had in Trinidad. I definitely recommend these cookies to anyone that likes chocolate covered cookies. They are not too sweet or overly chocolatey - they are just right. I dare you to have only one.

I was first introduced to McVitie's Chocolate Covered Digestives on a trip to England when my British fiance said "Here, you must try one of these with your tea." Once I discovered that Digestive Biscuits simply meant graham cracker cookies, I was happy to eat one...and then two...and then, well, you know how that goes. Mc Vitie's come in two tasty varieties, milk chocolate and dark chocolate (aka "plain" chocolate) and both are delicious so you can't go wrong which ever one you pick. All of my Brit friends in the States love McVitie's and now you can too!

I knew about these snack biscuits from when I was young and living in England. I love them and it was great to introduce them to my family. they are healthy plus you get the added chocolate on top! I love that they were actually shipped from England. These biscuits did not last long in my house. I have to order more.

I got this for my friend as a reminder of our college year in England. I got one for myself and gave one as a gift. If my friend got what I got, a melted, stuck together, goopy disaster, I owe her an apology. It was less like our fall and winter terms England and more like our August trip to Greece - a hot mess.

The digestive biscuits are very tasty and they do just what they say good for digestion!

These are not as advertised they they are just a standard pack of biscuits and not the sealable tub that was meant for a silly in side joke present. Very cheeky.

The product advertises a resealable pack, but instead I received a normal packet of biscuits. If I knew that’s what I’d get I’d just go down to the shop. Disappointing
