Does Farriers Shire Oil help with feather mites?

Yes. Farriers Shire Oil contains Peppermint Essential Oil, which helps deter feather mites (not cure them). Kind to the skin of your horse and will nourish the feather.

Is Farriers Shire Oil kinder on the skin?

Yes. We use a Grade A mineral oil (the same as Baby Oil) with no pig oil or sulphur. Using oils mixed with sulphur will burn the skin of your horse which is why we developed this.
