Steps taken while pushing a stroller are finally recorded with a brilliant Samsung hack!
I've had this watch for almost a month and this watch is fantastic! On average I use about 25% of the battery life with the heart rate monitor set to occasionally monitor. I charge during my nightly shower and it is fully charged within 15-20 minutes. The step counter seems to be right on the money. It syncs with the app seamlessly which has always been an issue with fitbit and Samsung phones. Another issue that this addressed for me was that I frequently push my daughter in a stroller and with fitbit it wouldn't track my steps because my arm wasn't moving. With this watch and a Samsung phone you can easily hack that issue by putting your phone in your pocket! Playing and running with my daughterion the playground is easily logged as activity and tracked as a dynamic workout. Apps were pretty much a non-priority for me on this watch so I can not speak to the degree of functionality on those but I can say that the speech to text works well for replying to text on the watch which is really handy. But Bixby assistant is still useless. This wasn't surprising to me though so it was less disappointing. It's not going to kill me though to pull out my phone to use Google assistant. Overall this watch is a solid win for me and is beating my previous fitbit experience by miles. Thanks again Samsung for delivering a quality product!Update 5/6/19:Still loving my watch but I think it's worth noting that I downloaded an aftermarket watch face and saw a significant decrease on battery life. Using it drained it down to 36% in one day! I went back to using the preinstalled breathe watch face and went back to using only 25% of the total life in one day. So if you buy this and find that your battery is draining really fast it's likely that your downloaded watch face is the culprit! Just an fyi!Update 1/4/2020:The watch is still going strong! I've done everything with this thing on. Swimming, dishes, it has no problem being submerged once the water setting is turned on. The band is still really comfortable. Haven't noticed any decrease in battery life. I still use about only 25% of the battery everyday. Pretty pleased with my purchase.

Great watch would purchase again.
I bought this watch back in 2020. It is just now starting to have issues (loses Bluetooth connection randomly, screen is loose from watch inset). If it was still available as new and not refurbished/renewed I would absolutely buy it again. I primarily used it for calls, texts, alarms, and other phone functions. Did not rely on it for fitness things or sleep.

Just what I wanted
I did a lot of research before purchasing this smartwatch. I had used a Garmin, not quite as smartwatch, and really liked it but wanted more information available on the watch and more customizations. So far I haven't found anything to complain about. The 40mm size is just right for my girl's wrist. And there seems to be plenty of screen space that I can size the font so my old eyes can see the small writing. The blue tooth range is really quite far, I can go into several different rooms before losing connections. I stay connected and synced with my phone with no problems. The vibration is kind of weak for notifications and an audible sound would be good. (Oh, found the first thing I would change.) This watch does not have a speaker. But this is not a deal-breaker for me. I don't want the watch to play music or to listen to phone calls. I would have only liked audible notifications.Being able to change the watch face it a lot of fun. I have found several that I like and they do not cause a battery drain.Speaking of battery life, I am very impressed. I never get passed 50% during one day if I charge it the night before. I walk for 1 hour every morning with the watch face one in activity mode and the battery will still last me all day and not go below 50. I do have it set to turn off the face when I'm not looking at it so that may help. The silicone band (is that what it is?) is very comfortable. I have the pink and it has never looked dirty. The learning curve wasn't too bad but the app isn't very intuitive. There aren't a lot of settings but you do need to look under advanced settings for many basic things. I've googled a couple of times to find out how to change a setting. I found the "store" part and the "settings" part a bit confusing at first but then it all started to come together. I'd say it has a small learning curve.Samsung pay? I don't know as it is not something I"ve wanted to setup. As far as responding to text messages, I've done that with the preset responses with pretty good success, not as successful with the mic because making corrections on the tiny keyboard on the screen is rather difficult. If you want a watch that you can type on this would not be it. But reading and quick responses are easily done.I did have one workout that didn't record correctly. I must have bumped the bezel and paused the workout and then bumped it again and it started again because the middle of the workout was gone. Unfortunately, you can't manually edit these workouts. I added my time manually but as a separate workout.
