Most Impressive
A picture is worth a thousand words.Having a picture showing that it is "VGA to HDMI" and NOT "HDMI to VGA" clarifies in ANY language which way this product does work. Wish more people used pictures along with directions !!! And It Does Very Well as Advertised. Thank you very much. After running 24/7 for several months, this product died. It is noted that it runs "HOT" when constantly used, as I needed to do with it. Don't get me wrong, my application can be considered "extreme" running it hard for so long. I like the aluminum case, and highly recommend the MFR consider modifying the case design to better radiate the heat, as well as part of the internal case press against the "chip" to act as a better heatsink to effectively dissipate the generated heat.Yes, I would still consider buying it for "normal" use, and I will most likely do so, again.Very good product, I still give it 5 stars !!! .

Works as intended
Have this adapter connected between a Lenovo docking station and a monitor. Needed this item as I have 3 monitors, but not enough Out ports. In case this helps someone else, I have my Lenovo Thinkpad laptop connected to a Lenovo docking station via a USB-C cable. The docking station has 2 HDMI Outs and a VGA out. So 2 monitors are using the HDMI and the 3rd is via the VGA out and this adapter. Works perfectly (as extended desktop - not duplicate).

Works pretty well
This adapter does perform its function as designed. I'm not sure if anything can be done to improve the resolution, but it's not as good as a direct VGA connection. It's acceptable, because it does work, and not too pricey. It does require USB power, and the provided USB cable is pretty short (less than a foot), so keep that in mind when ordering. I suppose if you needed it, you can get a USB extension for it. It also comes with an audio connection cable, for those displays with audio output.. Overall, I needed it, and it works for my needs, so I'm not disappointed. I would give it 5 stars if the resolution was better.

PERFECT FOR old-school VGA computers to connect to newer TVs, no "power brick" necessary!
Had an older but still useful Core2Duo system that I teamed up with a recently-purchased FireTV, for an all-in-one entertainment solution. Since the TV itself only had COAX, RCA and HDMI I needed something to convert my computer's VGA output to HDMI and pass through the audio from the PC as well. This came with all required wires, is powered from the USB port, and creates a clear picture on my TV, at its top resolution. Initially, the image looked a bit fuzzy, and text was hard to read, and I was going to blame the adapter, but I soon realized that the FireTV had picture enhancements enabled by default, which was over-sharpening text. Once I turned those features off, my desktop looked normal.

Don't buy it
I have had this product for just over 60 days. For the past two to three weeks I have been experiencing a thermal break down in which my monitor screen goes blank for 2 to 4 seconds and then comes back on. This happens at least once an hour. At least once a day I have to unplug the power to the adaptor and wait 15 seconds and then plug it back in to get it work. I have connected my computer to other monitors without this adaptor in the middle and it works without a problem. I have connected other computers to the monitor and it works - no problem. In other words it is not the monitor or the computer. The problem is the adaptor - it is faulty and does not work properly. It barely lasted 5 weeks.

Does not AutoSync Correctly
Does not auto-sync good, TV's and monitors may not be able to display all of screen, mine extends past limit 3% on my default 1920 x 1080 about 12-16 pixels on right and left are missing, its very confusing because that's about the size of the mouse. also sometimes I can't see something that I need to see near the edge. I have tried this with 2 TV's and 1 monitor, all with HDMI inputs with same issue. I am using a good NVIDIA card but it gives me no option to adjust the screen other than left or right, there is no stretch option. So I have just ordered a new monitor with the VGA input that I need and will eliminate this adapter.

Works Great
Does exactly what it is supposed to. Connected my desktop computer to use a large-screen TV as the computer monitor. Picture and sound carry through the adapter, no issues.

Little confusing, but should work for VGA to HDMI
Used this cable to connect a computer's VGA output to a monitor with only HDMI or DP inputs. This was for a dual monitor set up and one monitor was already using the computer's only DP output. So I was able to make use of the VGA output by using this cable. At first, I connected the adapter to the computer, plugged in the HDMI to the adapter, and plugged the other end of the HDMI into the monitor. That did not work. Once I hooked up the included USB cable, one end to the adapter, the other to the computer (not monitor), in addition to what I had already done, it worked just fine (shown in pics). Only issue was changing the monitor settings to make the picture clearer. Overall, this cable did exactly what I needed it to. Both monitors are working as independent(expanded) displays.
