Is there a way to keep the reflector from collecting few? The heater is great on one side but the reflector causes a failure every morning. I have

Mine does exact same thing when we have a heavy frost. I made a extended hood that goes around reflector . It helps 98% of the time . I plan on creating some type of heat strip eventually. You would think it would have a better design.

Can one sensor protect both the open and close motion, or are two sensors required?

You will need a sensor on each side of the gate.. one for “open” and one for “closed”.

Replaced my old one

I purchased an identical replacement to my old one that went bad due to condensation in the housing. Make sure you hook up the heater, even when you don't think you need it. It burns off any water that somehow manages to get in.

Not worth the money

Bought this photo eye to replace the old one. I have to say it is horrible and not worth the money. The old one was much better product! Had to call a local gate repair out to fix it on more than one occasion. The eye will stop working if it is foggy, or raining and even on a sunny day! Don't buy waste your money!!
