iCarsoft OBD II Diagnostic Tool EU Pro

I use this for my g63 and 911. My g63 drivers side seat ac and heater would go out once in a while, my 911 passenger side heated mirror stopped working. One was a relay, one was a ground issue. No pulling panels and fussing around with a multimeter, just went to the module and it told me what it was in 5 mins.

So I have 3 cars that should work with this, a 2012 Fiat 500 Abarth, a 2015 Porsche Cayman base, and a 2022 Alfa Romeo Stelvio. On the Fiat and the Porsche, this tool works well, and gives me access to almost all of the systems of the car that can be accessed via the OBDII port, that you don't require specialized software to reach. I was even able to program in a new battery in my Cayman. On the Alfa Romeo, it has an SGW module in it, which means you need an SGW bypass to access some extra modules. Unfortunately, even with the SGW bypass module in place, the iCarSoft WILL NOT access a number of important modules, like the ECM, so you can't access the most important part of the car you are probably trying to resolve an issue with. I don't know if things are different for pre SGW module Alfa Romeos, but I don't recommend it if you have a Stelvio or a Giulia at this time. And if you have a Tonale, I wouldn't even consider it. iCarSoft haven't updated this thing in the past several years, so I doubt you're going to see any coverage from this thing anytime soon in the future. If you have an Alfa, get either AlfaOBD, or MultiECUScan for your computer. If you have a Porsche, make sure you have a copy of Durametric, just in case you need access to something this doesn't have access to.

I have owned a PRo CR version of this for over 7 years but can't recommend this EU Pro one. I am very familiar with the interface with my prior experience and the update process (BTW, make sure to update using a microSD card reader instead of using the provided USB wire since it is a lot faster with a SD reader). I bought this one as a second device for a different location and it failed to work for 2 European cars (a 2008 BMW E91 and 2019 Mercedes GLC43) even after updating to the latest software version. That's when I stopped trying and decided to return it. More specifically, it failed to clear codes when the CR Pro worked fine. It also failed to report the info on the TPMS module on the 2008 BMW E91 that I tested with this vs. the CR Pro (and the CR Pro worked fine).

I am not a savy mechanic, just starting to enjoy fixing my own cars. Before buying the EU Pro Scanner I contacted iCarsoft via email to verify if it will work on my 2006 Mini Cooper S, 2010 MB GLK 350; and 2016 Porsche Cayman. Tech from iCarsoft responded same day that it will and I am better off w/ the EU Pro version. After receiving the scanner I tested it and sure did work on all of my 3 cars. I also want to highlight the excellent customer service of the seller Quick Ship Auto Parts. With both excellent customer support, I am worry free of my purchase. Yipee!!!

Got this mainly to reset my oil service light on a 2018 Porsche Panamera 4S (971). Also used it on a 2001 BMW E46 to pull a few codes. Only issue I had was trying to update the software, took a few times to get that sorted.

Works great! In addition to my Porsche it can be used on a variety of European vehicles.
