Great shorts. They are very well made and lightweight.Warning: they are very true-to-size. Most pants manufactured today are larger than the listed waist. I'm sure they do that on purpose, but just take any pants out of your closet and measure the waist and it will likely be one or two inches larger than the listed size. Not these, they are very true-to-size. Also, the 10L is "regular," per the tag and 12L is "tall."Also, the fit is nice. A lot of shorts are overly baggy and tend to have very wide leg openings. These are akin to straight leg jeans; not skinny and not relaxed, but just in the middle.

Have had the same pair of shorts for years, and they are pretty worn out. Couldn't find any new models of any brand that I liked better, so searched Amazon. Low and behold, my favorite shorts are still available. Ordered one pair to test, they were exactly the same/identical, so ordered two more. I should be good for another decade, lol.

The pockets are shallow, they run a bit small (2 sizes for me), and they are expensive. But everything else I love. I wore these on a month long vacation and found myself grabbing the five pair of these I brought over all the rest. Nice and cool. Dries quick. Doesn’t stink. The zippered pockets are my favorite. Hopefully they hold up well because I’m going to buy ten more.

Great fit and material for my tall husband.

I have given several of the young men in my family theses as gifts. All love them. Comfortable, well made, durable, great fit.

After a couple of seasons the pockets have torn, front and back, on multiple pairs. I have much older shorts that no similar issues.

The material is a THIN rip-stop nylon. Maybe a bit thinner than anticipated. Size .. got a 36", same as I have ordered for other similar shorts, notably O'Briens or Hang Ten, and these run small in the waist and seat. There is a bit of elastic in the waist which is helpful. They have that 'low rise', so while the inseam is 12" (or 10"), you have to undo these the you hit the urinal, as some have pointed out. The nylon zipper seems solid and is smooth. The 12" hit just below my knees. (I'm 5'9) The 2 side pockets, as some have also said, are only 5-6" deep. I do like the extra cargo style pockets on the legs. There is a zippered pocket on the left that is great for a cell phone or your wallet and a velcro flap pocket on the right. All that said .. I just ordered another pair in a different color. These look good enough to wear almost anywhere, cool on hot days and can go directly into the water if you're at the lake or beach and will dry quickly. Would be great for packing when you're traveling light.

These shorts are my "uniform" most of the year(except on days below 50 degrees).They fit well,are lightweight,machine washable(don't stain easily either)and come in multiple colors.They are great for hiking or just wearing around town and at home.Lots of nice deep pockets.Don't have any issues with things like a wallet or keys falling out.Even has one zippered pocket.Comfortable adjustable belt.Fabric dries quickly and they don't chafe which makes these shorts a good choice for hiking.

Bought as a present, the shorts look and feel good. They are made from a thin material which is what you are looking for in a pair of shorts. I cannot comment on the durability however they do look well made and i have a columbia ski jacket that is over 10 years old so expect these to last.

These are great shorts for an outdoor lifestyle. Ordered these for the summer to walk the dog, for family outings and to generally lounge around in.They are so comfortable, lightweight yet warm, quick drying, durable and with plenty of versatile pocket storage. Loved them so much, I bought another 2 pairs in other colours.Without doubt, these Columbia shorts are up there with the best.

Good quality but not the 10'' leg ordered more like a 12''.

The silver ridge range are lightweight fast drying kit. Shorts are good fit. Not too loose or fitted. Good security features & a free belt - which are pretty good. Only issue is the rustle. Prepare to make a racket with each step or breeze.
