Useful first aid
The book gives you a useful glimpse about pros and cons of private practice and its different modalities (solo, group, hospital affiliations, etc.) Easy to read. You then have to (and the book encourages you) to talk to colleagues already in private practice about their experience with it. Good first read to know what to do and where to start.

Must have
This is a must have book for anyone completing a residency in psychiatry. It breaks down all of the essentials so that one can make an educated decision about practice options. It is detailed with specific references and questions to ask and details to take care of. I wish I would have had it before I completed my residency.

Two Stars
It wasn't what I was looking for. I needed nuts and bolt information on starting up a practice.
