It works well, it's easy to clean and easy to install/change the batteries. I even like the color and it doesn't take up too much space. An unused pencil sharpens fairly quickly but nowhere near 3 seconds. I'd say more like 6-9 seconds. Personally, I prefer a pencil tip that isnt as long as this one, but the pencils aren't breaking so that's good. The biggest reason I cant give this 5 stars is the packaging. I understand that products are made all over the world, but if a product is being sold in the US with English writing on the box, it should have well-written sentences that make sense in English. I would be hesitant to give this as a gift to a tea her or buy it for a place of business or a school because the descriptions are written so poorly. For home use though or if you take it out of the box before gifting it, it is a good little unit.

***Edit***I changed my mind. I hate this thing. It sharpens the wood fine, but the shaft of the pencil ALWAYS breaks. Like 8 times out of 10. These are not junky pencils, I think the pencil sharpener somehow breaks the led by putting weight on it unevenly. I finally replaced it with the one I had before and the pencil breakage problem magically stopped. Go figure.I bought this because I have four young home schooling sons, so we go through a LOT of colored pencils and regular pencils. Our last $15 dollar pencil sharpener was great, but we eventually broke the plastic shavings casing. Then I got a cheap $10 one, and it died in barely over a week. So I got this one because it looks a bit tougher. And it is - but it doesn't come with an adapter! I figured I have a thousand adaptors laying around from phone chargers, but those are only 5V. This NEEDS a 6V or it sort of lets out a sad little half hearted sharpening effort that doesn't do the trick. Who the heck has random 6v to USB chargers laying around? Actually, I did happen to have one from the last good pencil sharpener that broke, but it was a just lucky break that I'm a hoarder. I'm guessing most people don't.But it seems strong and handles Crayola pencils great and regular #2 pencils even better. I'm happy, but if I want a second I'll go for a brand that has an adaptor included.

This sharpener is great it sharpens pencils as it should, its nice and durable and looks great and doesn't take up much space. Perfect for my kids who would otherwise break the cord off a regular cord sharpener, love that I can take this anywhere. The only minor con I have is it does take a little longer to sharpen pencils than a cord sharpener I have. This isn't a dealbreaker as my kids love sharpening pencils and there's only so many you can sharpen that they are satisfied with sharpening just a couple at a time. All in all I would say a great buy for the price.

This sharpener has been in use by my 8 year old twins for well over a month by now, and has sharpened a lot of pens, irregardless if it was needed or not. No complaints, and it gets the job done without being very load. At first I was a bit skeptical to it being corded, but it turns out that not having to switch out batteries every week is a great bonus.I would by this item again.

I bought the Akche electric pencil sharpener for my grandson who is in fifth grade. He loves its ease of use and durability. The sharpener sharpens pencils very well and is extremely easy to clean. It’s small enough to stash neatly on his desk and the blue compliments his room decor. He uses it to sharpen his number 2 pencils as well as the color pencils in his art set. We are very pleased with this product and would recommend it. I’ve bought electric sharpeners triple the price of this one that barely lasted a year, so for the price you’ll pay for this o e, you’re getting a very good product.

We have had a few pencil sharpeners in the past. All of which have had to be replaced shortly after I purchased them. So far, after several months of our three kiddos using it, it is still in great working order.

I used to buy sharpened pencils for my two kids. They always break tips and it is always hard to locate manual sharpner when needed. This one fun. Kids love it. Works on USB power or AAA batteries for portability. It has enough power to sharpen pencils.
