Expensive, has its flaws but fabulous...
Bought the Wilderness Systems crate on a whim, seeing how pretty it looked like. Yes, it came with its top slightly scuffed, but its not too obvious and becomes less obvious after taking it out to sea. It looked really good and fits perfect in my inflatable kayak (I live in an apartment and do not own a car to transport a hard kayak) The interior fits my 37cm x24x25(ht) styrofoam box with some residual space. Soft coolers work as well, the shell protecting it from direct sunlight which is really helpful in my 35 degree C weather. The biggest flaw are the rod holders, with the gap for the reel so small, the rod floats in the holder. This results in it being in the way of the acrylic top when being opened causing scratches to it. Which is of course painful when u consider the premium price.. Is it a box for everyone? No, its not. Its on the heavy side and at its price point, a premium piece targeted towards free spending kayak anglers who love to make their kayaks look as good as possible.
