Good quality metal cavity wall fixings for light or medium weight items to be affixed to dot and dab walls. Although not essential it is better to use in conjunction with an Interset setting tool that makes the job easier to get a reliable result. Good value and an essential item if you don't have solid walls.

This system of plaster board fixing is very quick effective. Make sure to buy the gun tool that is needed and makes life 100% easier. It leaves a very strong and secure fixing to hollow plaster board. So check there is cavity behind your plasterboard. (About 2 inches approximately) Only drawback is it does leave a permanent fixing on your walls.

The problem is all too familiar. Using a plastic hollow wall fixing on plasterboard is a vain hope at the best of times. I had a cliff-hanger shelf that was drooping at a sorry angle. This little device made a tight and secure fixing in the hole that was already looking a bit fluffy after the plastic fixing was removed, and the shelf sits rock solid now. Two essentials - make absolutely sure you buy the right length of fixing. The spec for the fixing gives a range of thicknesses and as long as you are somewhere in the middle of that range you will be fine. And secondly, use a setting tool. They aren't cheap, but with a few seconds work one tight squeeze of the lever has the fixing in place and solid with no risk of turning.

Good product for fixing heavier items. I have used them for fixing floating bookshelves, using 6 for each 1.2m shelf and so far so good. My walls are a particular nightmare, with plasterboard attached to a metal frame inside the old brick walls (?!) I had a couple of duds in the two packs I bought, but still a much cheaper and less messy solution than the corefix 120mm fixings I was using before (although corefix is also a very good product and will take a lot more weight than these)

Used to hang a 9kg mirror on plasterboard when the studs didn’t line up. (Used two) Measure your holes. Use a stud finder to know if there’s a stud where you want to hang it (if so, don’t use these and screw into the stud instead!). Use your stud finder to check there’s no metal or live wires in that spot too. Drill a 10mm hole. Don’t own a drill? You can buy drill bits for an electric screwdriver. Insert this plug. Unscrew a bit. Use a £10 crimp tool thing to press it into the wall and activate the hooks. (You can do without a tool, but this is much easier and you’re less likely to over tighten). Screw in, leaving a few mm. Hang your item!

le produit livré ne correspond pas au produit commandé, (voir la photo de la cheville sur le descriptif de l'article) sur la photo la cheville se monte sur un panneau de 17/20 mm. le produit livré se monte sur un panneau 10/13 mm. il y a semble-t-il une méconnaissance du produit. (je retiendrai ce fait pour d'éventuelle commande)
