If you know what these are, you know why you need them
There's not a lot to say. There are situations where you can save lots of time using these clips when installing drywall. They save lumber by replacing deadwood. Saving material is important now that prices are up and resources are dear. Save money by buying in quantity.

Only place I can still locate these old beasts from the past
I have a job coming up that is missing a lot of interior corner framing so I had to order a box of these jewels to save from a lot of framing that isn’t in my bud.. super easy fix

Did not fit snug on half inch drywall
These fit loose on half inch drywall. I bought another brand while back that fit very snug and stayed in place. These had a tendency to move around and you actually had to take a pair of pliers and clamp them down. I wouldn’t use this brand again.

These clips do exactly what they are supposed to do.
I had a unique situation where framing was complete but there were a few blind corners where continuous blokcing would not work. I also had a pocket door that formed the top portion of a T in a room with no adequate way to secure the door portion to the wall. These worked perfectly for backing the corners and pocket door space but be aware that you want to space them pretty close together (i.e. 16 inches) to prevent any movement of the drywall. Highly recommended.

Carpenter in a box
These are designed to slip over the edge of your drywall to allow you to attach to an adjacent framing member when “backing” wasn’t installed by the framer. For example if you are installing drywall on the ceiling where there is no stud to nail to (nailer) so you put five of these across the edge of the rock and nail the flange to the top plate of the wall.

looks like exactly what I need
I'm always trying to find innovative ways to speed up and reduce waste in my work. I haven't had a chance to try them out yet, but I think these things are pretty trick.

May work better for new home construction
They work ok. I normally put backers in every corner, but decided to give these a try for a remodeling project i am working on.i thought they may be faster. I was wrong. I still ended up having to put in backers for a lot of pieces. In the end i was not very happy with the end product. But maybe they work better in new home construction

They do the job
These things saved me as a first time drywaller finishing my basement. For all the spots I overlooked backing, these things work pretty well. Not quite as good as a full 2x4 backing, but they work.
