I love these pencils, however as someone who has struggled with legibility and clear handwriting I learned from using these pencils that I had built a habit of rotating any pencil in my hand while writing to acheive the same thing.I had switched over to fountain pens for so long I had completely forgotten about this habit, but found myself effectively fighting against these at first. Once I tricked my brain into writing a little more like a fountain pen (still much more pressure required for led/the Kurutoga rotation to happen than a fountain pen, but the point is you don't rotate those at all.)Not ideal for cursive, and had I known about these when I was still doing a lot of math where I also had to turn in my scrap paper these would have been wonderful to have had back then.Cannot recommend enough.

I don’t think I’ll ever buy another pencil. The auto turning of the lead is so satisfying. I never have to find the sharp end!

Good price for nice pencil

My kids love these. I used them as stocking stuffers, and they were a hit. The ones I've used have broken after 6-12 months use, so I gave reduced stars for durability issues. The pencils themselves are great until they break.

Love these pencils - and have for a number of years. I always by the nano-diamond lead instead of kurutoga lead just because it doesn't break easily. I bought this set to give one to each of my students this year, they are all loving them, too. Be sure to order refill erasers with them, or have a stick eraser available, the erasers do get used up quickly. When giving these as gifts I also give the 6 pack of refill erasers and a package of lead. Perfect!

The quality of the Uni Kuru Toga Advance pencils are top notch for the low price. The auto rotate feature is great at ensuring a consistent tip as you write.However, this appears to be for a 5 pack, not 6 pack. My original order and replacement order both consisted of a 5 pack instead of a 6 pack as listed (pictured above). In both cases, the pencil with the black body color was missing.

I’d give these 3.5 to 4 stars. I love the kuratoga line by Uni. When I ordered these I thought I was getting ones like the metallic black and silver sold singularly. These aren’t those. They function the same but something that makes a great pencil is the weight and these have none. Just something to consider if that’s important to you. Otherwise work just the same.

These are plain graphite pencils. They do not write red, blue, green, etc. Returned.
