A problem with the glass is that it will etch if placed in the dishwasher. Adding titanium and zirconium to their glass composition would prevent that etching.

I use it on my countertop to hold mouthwash and it is beautiful!!!! Very happy with this purchase.

Love. Love. Love this decanter!! So beautiful and well made. Looks much more expensive than the actual cost. I don't drink wine so I didn't deduct any points for the size (probably only holds 2 glasses of wine). I'm using it for a mouthwash dispenser to give my vanity that "Lux" look and WOW ...does it ever deliver. Speaking of delivery...it was fast and the item VERY VERY securely packed ...no way this will be damaged in shipping. Will purchase from this seller again :)

Only holds 2.5 glasses of wine. What's the point when it is that small... unless it's for people who need to limit their intake?

Just what we needed, we purchased 5, they hold 12 ounces, we use them for small gatherings or dinner parties.

I normally drink 1/2 bottle of red wine just about every day. However, it is difficult to find quality half-bottles for sale at reasonable prices. So I open a full bottle and decant and securely cork half for drinking the following day.So I was delighted to find this elegant, 375ml crystal decanter to store tomorrow's wine. Unfortunately I wound up buying 3 of them - they all broke, after some period of time, at the neck where the stopper makes contact (interestingly the thickness of the glass was different in each of the 3 decanters).IMO, this would probably rate 4 or 5 stars for occasional, light use. But for frequent use I think it should be avoided.

We bought the same one a few years ago that we loved but dropped it and chipped it. We wanted to replace it with the same item. The quality of this item is far inferior to the same older one from the same company. The crystal is so thin that we are afraid to use it for fear that it will easily break. We put it with some other odds and ends crystal pieces on a shelf so that we can look at it. Very disappointed with the loss of quality will not buy another one.

I'm not sure if I read the fact that this decanter doesn't hold a whole bottle of wine. It was beautiful though. I considered using it for another purpose, but couldn't come up with one
