The Portland Keyhole Round Reading Glasses Set

I ordered two pairs of these glasses in July, and like them very much. People actually complement me on them, especially the blue pair. The styles are current and no one knows they are "just" reading glasses. I take them on and off frequently, and two days ago, a screw fell out of one pair and I had no luck finding it. I emailed City Sights Eyewear to ask what my options were, since I wasn't sure if a typical eyeglass screw would work. I heard back the next day, and I got a brand new pair the day after that. No charge. This is totally amazing. In addition, I had ended up looking on Amazon because none of the stores I stopped in (Walgreen's, Target, CVS) had the strength I needed for one pair. They didn't even list the strength on their charts, so I figured I'd try online. City Sights had everything. Highly recommended.

I bought both pair of reading glasses for my hubby because I thought they were so stylish, and they are. Unfortunately they are not made well, and since they were purchased (less than 2 months ago), both pair have broken with the screws falling out randomly and then the arm falling off. I am quite disappointed and so is he because he can't function without his reading glasses. I would think this company would want to know of this product defect, and would hopefully replace them, at no charge. The first pair I threw out so I can't return those, but I can return the second pair if need be, which are now being held together by tape. Not the best look on my hubs. As others have noted, the hinge screws are prone to come loose and the glasses can fall apart. Something about the design of them, each time I open/close them, the hinge screws loosen. I find that I have to tighten them every week, or more frequently if they are getting heavy use. I just keep an eyeglass screwdriver handy, and it is no problem.On the positive side, which very much outweighs the negative, these glasses are very light and comfortable to wear for long periods. The lenses are good, not the best, but I do not end up with eye strain after a few hours of use, like I do with some drug store glasses that are similarly priced. They are also cheap enough that if I loose them or they wander off, it is no worries (although the blue color makes it easy to find them). The best part is I get lots of compliments on them..

I love these glasses - get LOTS of compliments. Good quality, BUT the screws will come out of the hinges. You can easily keep them in place with a drop of clear nail polish.If you loose a screw, there is a way to fix it. Google how to fix spring-hinged glasses. You have to pull the spring hinge out of the arm with a pointy object and then keep it there to reconnect the arm with the frame. I used tooth picks.I would definitely recommend these glasses - but don’t forget to apply the nail polish!

I love these because of the shape. However, I am on my third pair because the other two lasted no more than six months. But they were cheap so I bought the second and third pair anyway, because they look so sharp & expensive . The problem is they are a little flimsy if you are rough with them. They always break off at the temple. I was really surprised that they broke because they seemed really sturdy when I received them. I will not be buying a fourth pair if my current pair breaks.

Are usually get my reading glasses from CVS or Walgreens and they do a good enough job but they don’t last long or I lose them who knows where. But I’ve never been satisfied with how the look and feel of them whether they are foster grants or other brand. But I must say I’m sticking with. And it’s one of the benefits of having a big shopping platform like Amazon: if it’ Exists be available at Amazon 9 times out of 10

I liked the glasses when I first received themThey broke only a few weeks later. The glass arm fell off. I discovered they were cheaply made. I keep reading glasses for years with no problem very unhappy

I like the feel of these glasses - I don't feel like I must treat them with kid gloves for fear of the lens popping out or the arms bending. However, the screws work their way up and if you aren't careful, can fall out; the threads get worn to where the screws won't stay.Despite this, I've had many compliments on them!
