The Greater Key of Solomon: The Complete Books I-III

Description

The Greater Key of Solomon is a 14th century Grimoire written by an anonymous author and is divided in three parts called Books. It contains invocations, conjurations and ways to summon Spirits from the spirit realm as well as the Spirits of Demons and punished souls from Hell. The Grimoire gives theoretical information and step by step practical guidance on an array of topics such as planetary hours, celestial bodies, prayers, ritual preparation, communication with Angels and Spirits, exorcisms, magickal amulets, the preparation and use of ritual equipment and more.Note from the Publisher: The illustrations in this book come from enhanced scans of the original seals. The scans have been painted over by hand using black ink and then re-scanned in order to improve the texture and make the lines and letters more legible, as some of the pages and illustrations of the book have deteriorated due to the manuscript's age, and they appear faded or broken. The original manuscript can be found in the British Museum. Review: The most essential book on solomonic magic - A fantastic edition of the greater key of solomon. Contains in depth tables and fairly good quality diagrams of pentacles and magic circles galore. The grammar is without mistakes, and edited very well. The old english isn't as bad as you think, and very readable. The format could be better regarding the order and explanation of the craft, but that's due to the original authors disgression, not the fault of the editor. It was just written that way. Be prepared, most of these rituals are very indepth and require a lot of preparation, access to very specific materials, the repentance and purification of the soul, and the use of incense. This book is more or less more focused on the communication of spirits and angels, whereas the lesser key involves the invocation of demons and devil's. I do wish there were more diagrams, just because I find viewing them to be hypnotic and exciting. But I suppose for the purpose of completing the rituals, it contains what is necessary. As a stand alone book for the occult and the magic of solomon, this is by far the most essential. Enjoy my fellow exorcists. Review: Not sure what to say.... - As far as quality....the finite object itself, is made with the quality you’d expect from a paperback book. The context of the book...you can’t unread something.
