Great battery, great value
I was skeptical given many of the negative reviews but I was really desperate for an extra battery with my kid’s upcoming 2 hour performance that is JUST longer than my existing battery can handle, even with a 15 minute charge at intermission. I was looking for an NP-FH40 for my ancient Sony DCR-SR45 really hoped that this would fit the bill since this was the only one I could get within a day. I ordered it last night and it arrived this afternoon and promptly charged it. I just did a test run and am able to record for the hour I need (with 15 minutes or so to spare). I am VERY pleased with the purchase.

Does the job, good buy at this price point.
worked right out of the package. only had charge for 6 minutes. recharged the battery and we are getting about 100 minutes of recording time on the screen. my purpose was to find a replacement battery so i can start my handycam and move the videos to my computer. being able to use the handycam once again is a bonus (for the kids). For the price, great buy.

good backup battery
Fits well in my sony alpha dslr. It doesn't last as long as the original, but that is expected at 1/3rd of the price. Its a good backup battery..

NPFH50 Battery
I have an older Sony A389 DSLR camera that requires this battery. It started developing an issue where it would simply say the battery was incompatible and the camera would shut off. I tried a few of my batteries and they did they did the same thing. I took a chance and tried this battery and everything and everything worked fine. The battery charges well, holds a charge for a good length of time and most importantly, I can use my camera again.

Worked for Sony HDR-SR10
Bought a camera from the thrift store and unfortunately its battery was shot. Bought this as a replacement, it charged+worked perfectly with my handycam! Any universal charger should work. Did take a while to ship, but could not find it locally at all. Worth the wait :)
