ProDen PlaqueOff Powder for Dogs - Dog Tartar and Plaque Remover - 60g

Has been working great. I’ve used it a little over a month and a half. Her gums also look so much better. Which I notice she’s been chewing her bone again, and I think that’s also helping remove the plaque build up. I give it to her every morning sprinkled on her food. It’s simple and works well. Large breed (golden) she doesn’t have a sensitive stomach. Did have diarrhea and vomited once while using but I’m pretty sure it’s because she ate something in the yard as it never happened again.

When I ordered this, I was honestly skeptical, but I was also desperate. My dog had a severe plaque buildup, and his breath was AWFUL. Brushing and other dental additives just weren’t cutting it, and the thought of having to put him under anesthesia at the vet for a deep dental cleaning made me really nervous. I was willing to try just about anything that might help. When I first received this product, I thought, Wow, this is pretty pricey for such a tiny bottle! My boy weighs 60 pounds, so he needs three scoops a day, which makes that little bottle go pretty quickly. But after using it for about a month, I am absolutely blown away by the results! His breath is noticeably better, but this morning I decided to take a close look at his teeth, and OH MY GOD. There wasn’t a single speck of plaque on his teeth anymore! 😳 I honestly didn’t expect it to work this well. The difference is incredible. It has made such a huge improvement in both his breath and his teeth, and I couldn’t be happier. I will absolutely continue buying this over and over again. It is a miracle worker for stinky breath and plaque buildup! I no longer have to discreetly shrink away when my pup gets a little too close to my face. 😂 10/10 HIGHLY recommend! If your dog struggles with plaque or bad breath, I definitely think this is worth trying.

I bought this based on my vet's recommendations. I have 3 chi mixes so their teeth are always an issue. I got tired of getting bit and fighting tgem with brushing. So far (I've been using for about 1-1/2 months) it looks like their teeth are significantly improved with less tartar on them! I sprinkle 1 scoop daily on their breakfast. They dont seem to notice it and ive had no digestive issues. The only thing I dont like is the scoop is TINY! I had to pry it out of the bottle and am afraid to put it back in for fear of not getting it out again. Also, the handle is pretty short so its hard when you get to the bottom of the bottle to scoop product out. This is the only reason I took 1 star away. Highly recommend, just be aware of the scoop issues.

★★★★☆ I like how easy this dental powder is to incorporate into my dog’s routine. I simply add it to her food, and she eats it without any issue, so there’s no wrestling with her to get her to take another dental product. The powder is convenient and doesn’t require any complicated process. I also like that it can be used consistently as part of an overall dental-care routine. This is more about supporting plaque control rather than anything like breath, and I’ve been really happy with the results in that regard. My dog’s vet has commented that her teeth look great, which gives me confidence that it’s doing its job as part of her ongoing dental care routine.

We have used this product in our 3 yo greyhound's food for over a year (along with brushing her teeth regularly, and taking her in for her yearly dental cleaning), but have noticed no difference in the amount of build-up on her teeth or in her bad breath. We followed the directions for a dog her size (she's 65lbs), and used two scoops a day in her food. As other reviewers have stated, greyhounds have notoriously bad breath and dental problems, so maybe that could account for the product's ineffectiveness? But that's not even my biggest complaint with this product. My biggest issue is that I believe this product caused excessive shedding, dandruff, and other hypothyroid-like symptoms in my greyhound. The breed typically has low thyroid function already, and there is debate on whether or not it should be treated with medication. Unfortunately, our girl was shedding so excessively that she was beginning to bald all over her body (not just the hind quarters). Her belly also went from being pink to a near black color. I took her into the vet, tested her for hypothyroidism, and her t4 levels came back extremely low -- even for a greyhound -- and we had to start her on a synthetic hormone. She was only 2 yos at the time of this diagnosis, which is extremely young for a dog to already be treated for under active thyroid. She was on the synthetic hormone for 7 months, and there was no difference in her shedding, dandruff, or the color of her stomach. In fact, it worsened. Two months ago, I took her back in for more testing. It appeared the synthetic hormone was working, so there shouldn't be any reason for her continued symptoms. The vet was actually concerned that increasing her dosage would shift her into hyPERthyroidism based on her blood panel results. I did some reading and decided to stop giving her PlaqueOff. She has now been off of it for a month. Within two weeks, her stomach changed back to her normal pink color, she is not only NOT shedding, but her coat is shiny and growing back in, and there is NO dry skin or dandruff. I can't prove this product caused hypothyroidism or hypothyroid-like symptoms in my greyhound, but I can tell you that enough improved once I removed PlaqueOff from her food, that I'm beginning to wonder if she even truly has an under active thyroid. I plan on taking her into the vet soon to talk about this and possibly have more t4 panels taken. Another side note: Our greyhound has also routinely had issues with diarrhea and extremely soft stools. We tried feeding her Kirkland's Signature grain-free dog food -- bouts of diarrhea continued. Then we tried Taste of the Wild - bouts of diarrhea continued. Merrick -- bouts of diarrhea continued. Finally, after we stopped giving her off PlaqueOff she has healthy stools. I hope this isn't a common problem, but if it is, I hope this review helps anyone else who is experiencing similar symptoms in their dog.

I’m genuinely shocked by how effective this stuff is. I didn’t expect much from a supplement, but in only a week my little dogs breath is noticeably better. She didn’t have terrible breath before, being only 3, but I was starting to notice some staining on her teeth and a little bit of bad breath. I ordered this and the dental chew bones, she gets half a scoop of the supplement in her wet food every morning and a dental bone, both of which she loves. Her teeth aren’t noticeably cleaner yet, but her breath is so sweet and nice now! It is a pretty expensive little bottle, but for a small dog I think it’s definitely worth it.

bought it and know it works but I decided not to use as my vet said it can cause some difficulty with thyroid function in dogs- did not want to take the risk- my friend uses it easily with her two biggrt dogs

I have been using this daily for my dog. She is young and has beautiful, white teeth but had 2 very dark brown back/molar teeth (one on each side) by her saliva glands. The vet said it is common but I needed to get that plaque off. I figured I would try this combined with a marrow bone every 3-4 weeks. I wish I had taken before and after pictures because the change is dramatic and far better than I even hoped for. There are a couple tiny specks of brown instead of the entire tooth. The teeth on both sides have totally improved. Very pleased this worked so well.

Efficace ! après détartrage, la mauvaise haleine était vite revenue. Avec ce produit, plusieurs semaines d’utilisation post détartrage et ça va bien ! Par contre, ils n’aiment ni l’odeur ni le gout donc je masque ça avec un jus de viande sur leurs croquettes. J’avais essayé le liquide à mettre dans l’eau avant mais mes chiens ne la buvaient pas.

Good taste and good effect

this product has been clinically proven to work. along with regular tooth brushing my 4 dogs teeth stay pearly white. my vet is always impressed with how good their teeth look. can highly recommend this product. plus the jumbo sized pot means it lats a very long time as you only need a tiny scoop of the product.

Had used Plaque Off years ago for another dog with no issue- However this product caused my Border Collie to have Diarrhoea, so much so that she left a mess on the floor during the night. We stopped it and within a day or two she was back to normal. There were no other changes except adding PlaqueOff. I see other reviews noting this same issue. Prior to this we had used Buddy Care seaweed product without issues. I don’t know what the difference is between the products but certainly wish I hadn’t bought the large size as cannot return this. Some of the reviews mention serious reactions.
