Great read! 5 years old now.....we need a part two!
I first found Mark Dice in 2011 or 2012. It was his video on YouTube where he went around with a 1-ounce gold coin, offering to give it to people if they could guess the price of gold. I watched a lot of his videos (without ever knowing that he was a "Conservative") but then things in the precious metals market cooled down. And conspiracy theory activity cooled down when the world didn't end on December 21st, 2012.I stopped watching channels like Mike Dice and Alex Jones. Years passed. Then I find myself in 2021, wondering why people are trying to force other people to receive an experimental medication. Even the president of thew United States is trying to force it. Something is wrong! The bubble I'd been living in since 1996...the bubble devoid of politics, political affiliation, or even the daily news...popped. I turned to the internet to look into things that I'd been avoiding for so long. I learned that the "left" and the "right" pretty much hate each other. That there are "Conservative" and "Liberal" news channels on television. (I haven't owned a television in 15 years.) That they may have gone a long way to deceptively paint the guy who gave Kevin McCallister directions to the lobby in beginning of Home Alone 2 as a racist and criminal. In my searches, I found my way back to Mark Dice. For the first time since his "You're At A Bookstore Instead of Watching The Superbowl?!" video. Why did I find my way back to Dice? How? That's simple...because he was one of the few people actually talking about the important things going on, one of the few people willing to question these things, and one of the few people who seemed like he knew what he was talking about. So I bought this book because I'd been hearing about "fake news" since I pulled my head out of the sand and I wanted Mark Dice's opinion on it. This book is great, the only caveat is that it's 2017, so now 5 years old. A lot has happened in those 5 years. Still a great book if you don't mind footnotes instead of endnotes!Mark Dice (formerly known as John Conner) is a brilliant man, and although I don't ALWAYS agree with him, I'd love to read more of his books. He has several interesting titles with a high level of great reviews...so head on over to Amazon aaaand check 'em out!

The Truth
Mark Dice lays it all out there for anyone who has the courage to hear it. The media has been manipulating us for years and it only gets worse based the means to spread propaganda and lies grows. Every detail of this book is documented and cited, not just the authors opinions. This is a great eye opener for anyone who wants the truth about the media and it’s ability to sway and manipulate the masses.

When this man says he always has the receipts he means it
Definitely one of the most thoroughly researched books I've ever read. citations on every page that back up every single claim. I just recently discovered Mr Dice and I have absorbed a constant stream of his books over the last several weeks. The scope of the covert CIA/media operation Mr dice has exposed here is bigger than you could have possibly imagined. Hold on to your hat because you're in for a wild ride and once you read this there's no going back. And as they say, ignorance truly is bliss...

Fake news all right!
Mark Dice is best known for his documentation of the Illuminati and the Bohemian Grove, and thus is often accused of being a “conspiracy theorist”. I’m not sure such accusations logically follow and consider the accusation that Hillary Clinton is a conspiracy theorist holds more credibility than such accusations against Mark Dice.In this book, Mark Dice attacks mainstream media. By that is meant not only the standard media channels like CNN, ABC, MSNBC, CBC, etc., but also the internet social media and reference sites, such as Wikipedia.Dice first goes after social media. I would have thought that social media would have been fairly free of bias, but the contrary is mostly true. Google has the ability to manipulate how searches are performed in order to favor a liberal bias. Facebook tends to have a horrid bias in how it censures conservative vs. liberal media. Dice’s complaint about U-tube is in how it manipulates advertising revenues based on the “offensiveness” of content, and offensive is often deemed as anything of a conservative nature. Since Dice depended heavily on revenues acquired with U-tube, it has affected him most heavily. The attack then rages against the standard media channels. Step-wise through the various media channels, Dice documents many incidents where the media either created the news or manipulated the recording of the news (for instance, editing out segments of comments to make them say exactly the opposite of what was said) in order to provide a strong liberal bias. Sadly, he does not include Fox News, which has also manipulated how it reports the news in order to force a bias in the direction that Fox News wished. I am sure that the examples provided by Dice are just the tip of the iceberg in how our news is manipulated to heavily biased ends. The book is slightly tedious to read. His short last chapter provides a brief overview summary of the problems in fake news. This is where I know Mark Dice could have used his book as a springboard to discuss the problem of news bias and what to do about it. 1. What alternatives do we have in attempting to gain news without a distorted slant? 2. How do we live with the news swamp that is currently given to us? 3. What other sources of news are available? 4. What ways can we protest social media in an effective fashion? Is boycotting social media the best action? 5. What grass-roots efforts are available that seem to be effective at forcing more responsibility with the news media?Since news will always be biased, we cannot simply demand news without “bias”. The reporter holding a world view similar to our own would be helpful. The only effort that I am aware of to provide more conservative newsagents has been the World Journalism Institute, though even it has had somewhat of a neo-conservative bias reflected by the parent news magazine, World Magazine. Reporters of a conservative bent have found it overwhelmingly challenging to live in the liberal shark tanks of the liberal press. Too often, like Ross Douthat, they have caved and showed themselves mostly as liberals in sheep’s clothing, perhaps having a pro-life stance, but otherwise being rottenly liberal to the core. Hopefully, Mark Dice will think through and provide a better scheme that conservatives could use to confront the liberal (and lying) press.

Essential Reading
This book is a must read for all fair minded people with an interest in current affairs and the media, in fact it should be on the essential reading list of all educational establishments not only in the USA but European countries also. Of course that will never happen as our educational establishments have been dominated by the Liberal Left and this book would not sit well with their narrative. Apart from that the book itself is a good read and well written making it rather compelling and difficult to put down, highly recommended as are his regular YouTube videos.

This is no Fake News
A pleasant surprise to see the continuously (and ironically) laughing YouTuber Mark Dice having produced a serious work on Fake News. His formal education in communication studies definitely shines through. Every chapter is backed by detailed references to original sources. If you want to understand what's going on in the legacy media and the digital outlets like Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and others, this book will provide you a full briefing. Next to that the inevitable involvement of government agencies in "managing news" is discussed. The book is primarily USA focused, but rest assured it does shed a bright light on non-USA media intricacies.A recommended read!

Don't come out of your safe space.
Mark Dice is one of those who doesn't suffer fools and if you find yourself on the wrong side of reason and logic he is not for you, best stay in your safe space and tune into the BBC and other fake news outlets that feeds your "oh I'm offended" mentality. If on the other hand, you would like to know why you have become so dumbed down after being indoctrinated by the far left liberal media for years then invest in Marks book, otherwise, you may want to consider a subscription to the Guardian, as that is about the level of your reading comprehension perhaps.

How the media shape the news as opposed to report it.
An outstanding book, shows exactly how the sanctimonious liberal media shape the news as opposed to report it, with the mainstream media being the biggest #FakeNews merchants around. The traditional media have ceased to report the news and are merely cheerleaders for their chosen liberal or left-wing candidate. This book doesn’t just rely on hearsay and rumour, it actually evidences the examples it use and lists exactly where they can be found.A must read for anyone interested in the decline of the traditional media.
