they are more to the medium size pellets it's a good growth food

Does anyone have experience using this product to help even out retained scutes on small aquatic turtles?

This is fine for turtles as long as you only use it for shedding purposes. The first commenter clearly doesn’t have turtles. You can replace 25% of their usual pellets with this until they shed. It helped mine get his retained scutes off

Is this suitable cold weather food for my pond goldfish?

Yes, this is a cold weather food. According to liveaquaria.com once water temperatures lower to 70 degrees the staple food should be mixed with a wheat germ based food. Then, when water temperatures reach 60 degrees you should switch to a wheat germ based food exclusively. Stop all feeding when the water goes below 50 degrees as fish are incapable of digestion.
