Cambro Set of 3 Square Food Storage Containers with Lids, 2 Quart

I cook a lot at home, and make a lot of stocks, soups and stews at a time which I freeze. These are the best quality by far, and its why you'll see them in professional kitchens. They do cost more than the average stuff you find at the store, but it's worth the money, as they are extremely durable (the crystal clear plastic may get brittle after a long time), and do an excellent job in keeping things sealed tight, whether in the freezer or refrigerator. They clean up well either by hand or in the dishwasher, and don't stain or leave a scent from the previous food. Further, their square shape is great since it makes the most use of the space. They are also stackable. I like the 2 quart size as I find them the most useful for what I do. Update: If freezing liquid, be sure not to fill the containers absolutely up to the top. Leave some room for the liquid to expand, otherwise it can pop the lid off.

These are great! Having working in the food industry for way too long I can assure you there is no comparison between commercial food storage containers and those designed for home use. These containers are designed to be efficient and last under far more hostile environment meaning they will last nearly forever in your home. Stackable, stain resistant, easy to clean, virtually leak-proof. Buy quality and save in the long run!

High quality containers. I was sick and tired of using terrible containers like ziplock or no name containers because they were always flimsy and you could never find the right tops for them. I knew of Cambro's from work as I work in a restaurant. I have seen how the kitchen staff treat them and from experience I know they can take a beating. I have seen them melted, cracked, broken but still usable however, thats not to say they don't work well because they do. These thing can and will take a beating. They will also last a long time, especially if you do not abuse them they can last for a very, very long time. The polycarbonate is quite thick and very high quality which brings across its ruggedness. Now the downside to these are the price. They are quite high especially for only a pack of 3 (2 quart variety). This to me is more of an investment because I believe they do eventually pay themselves off from the lack of buying other food storage containers over and over again. They are also quite large, if you do not have a good place to store them they may not be for you even though they do stack. So if your sick of terrible food containers like I was get what the professional kitchens use and buy these.

I purchased the 8qt and 6qt set as well as some larger Cambro storage containers, these 2 sets came with the lids for the containers. On the larger units you have to purchase lids separately. These were a little bigger than I anticipated, but they both still fit in my corner cabinet on the Lazy Susan. I put flour and sugar in them (a little heavy on the Lazy Susan when full!) The 8qt model will fit a 10lbs bag of flour, but you may have to get the flour to settle a little to get it all in. The 6qt model fits a 10lb bag of sugar perfectly (see picture). The lips around the top are wide enough that you do not need a handle, and I have had no problem moving them in and out of my Lazy Susan with just grapping onto the top lip of the containers. I have used Tupperware style containers in the past, and these are much more durable. I haven't dropped a full one on the floor yet to fully test, but they have held up great to the mild abuse they have endured.

Nice capacity. Use to make large batch of cold brew coffee. Pours nicely. Lid seal is not super tight and had some leaking when shaking container to mix.

Love these containers. They are so sturdy and very large, perfect for what I had in mind for them. I love all sizes of the Cambro, perfect for what ever you may have in your pantry. Keeps food or dry goods fresh and makes for a very neat and clean pantry. NO CLUTTER !!! I have the round and the square, big and little, they are a little pricey but they are well worth it. Do yourself a favor and try them, I like to get the ones that are packaged with 2 or 3 containers. Works out to be cheaper, and if I don't need all of them I can share them with my girls, or keep them and give them as a wedding gift. Great gift !!! Had so much fun cleaning out my pantry and getting it organized.

I'm a little late on the whole "Artisan Bread in Five Minutes a Day" trend, but I finally bought the book and set out looking for the recommended food storage containers (NOT air tight) to keep my dough in the refrigerator. The round Cambro set has been out of stock for months, and I just didn't want to pay for shipping with a third party...so I went with the square. They are excellent! Pros: No weird plastic smell Durable Space saving as opposed to the round ones Perfect for storing my bread dough and for storing pantry items. At first the price seemed a bit steep for two plastic tubs. But when you consider that it's a set of two with lids, it's a much better bargain than going with the single round and a separate lid (since the double set of round ones are always out of stock). My only tiny complaint is that I wish they had these in 10 quart so that I could double a dough recipe; I bought the 8 quart also and will try that, but I suspect it may be a bit too tight for a double recipe.

I got the set of three 2-quart containers. I like to make up salads for the fridge, and this size is perfect. The seal is good, they stack securely, and I can see what is inside. Nice, sturdy containers.
