OLSON SAW CB50000BL 14-Inch Delta Band Saw Accessory Cool Blocks

Cool blocks are a huge upgrade over standard bearing blocks. They perform very well in guiding the blade and preventing heat from building up. They’re very easy to install, keep the blade running smoothly, and help to minimize vibration.

I read about these on a woodworking forum. Seeing how cheap they are it was a no brainer. Installation was easy as pie. I set them right up to the blade so they wear down, giving me the perfect tolerance. I’ve noticed my bandsaw runs quieter and smoother.

Perfect fit, looks and feels like a good product, but only time and use will determine how good they really are. They replaced blocks that were over 40 years old, so if these last as well as the originals, I will never have to replace them again.

These guide blocks made a huge difference in the heat generated when running my bandsaw (Delta 14")... I use a lot of e 1/8" blades and they normally snap after using them for more than a few hours because of the heat. I've been using the same blade for 2 weeks now and no problems. You can even sand these blocks flat when they start to wear. Highly recommend these for any bandsaw user.

I liked it but its a bit courser than I thought this tooth size would be This is really almost for straight re-sawing But good blade I switch now with a 1/4 for little tighter control

I recently purchased a used 14” Delta bandsaw that still had the steel guide blocks. Having prior experience with Olson cool blocks on my other 14” bandsaw, it made since to order these cool blocks to eliminate any overheating on the bandsaw blades. Top quality product well worth the money spent.

I've used these blocks on my 14" Delta bandsaw for 25+years. I've been through several sets. They do a great job of allowing the blade to pass yet keeping the blade firmly in place. You will need to occasionally flatten and/or rotate the blocks to fresh flat surfaces.

I read about these for my 50 year old Delta after years of just using the metal blocks. These are awesome. Saw a youtube where the guy just said run them in contact with the blade, use some wax on the blade, no overheating, and found it to be true. It's like a whole different saw now, no kidding. Also got the Peachtree white plastic circle table inserts. Watching the youtube vids I finally after all these years have a saw that cuts square, no wobblies, better finish, all with the same old Bosch nothing special 3/8 blade. Should have done this years ago. I would definitely stay with these blocks over ball bearing side guide wheels, they are so expensive to retrofit and I honestly can't see how they would be any better than these. This is better really because if these should contact the blade teeth (oops) they shouldn't even damage them. Very impressed.

An absolute must have for every bandsaw! I've had or made steal or lingum guides, and I've purchased others... but never again! These are in both of my home-shop saws and now the ones at work too! Wouldn't have a saw without them. Great product!
