Shockingly Effective Even on Large Water Stains
I bought the Guardsman Reusable Water Mark Remover Cloth hoping it would fix a couple of white rings on my brand‑new table, and it absolutely delivered. It removed large, noticeable water stains that I thought were permanent. I’ve since had a few new water marks appear (this table is extremely susceptible to them), and thankfully this cloth has taken care of every single one. It’s easy to use, works quickly, and has saved my table more than once. The only downside is the smell — it’s definitely strong — but because the results are so impressive, it’s something I can overlook. If you have a table that marks easily or you’re dealing with stubborn white rings, this cloth is worth every penny.

Terrific results -- requires patience more than forceful effort
Very satisfying results that come with very patiently using this product. It removed two serious marks on a rock maple dining room table. One large mark came from someone putting a hot pan on the bare wood. That error left a large round white mark about 8 inches in diameter. The second mark was really two substantial water marks, each about the size of 1/4 of an 8 1/2 X 11 sheet of paper. Technique: 1) Put on a good television show or some pleasant music or have a good conversation partner. You are going to be involved for a while. I took me about 45 minutes. 2) Put on some rubber gloves. I used the disposable blue neoprene rubber gloves that have become very common. 3) Take the treated cloth out of the sealed bag and select a small part of it and start rubbing the stain with that part. Think in terms of a part of the cloth about the size what can be pressed down with the index and middle finger and thumb while holding the cloth with those fingers and the thumb. 4) I started by using a tight circular pattern about 2 inches in diameter. I pressed firmly but not hard. Pressing firmly means about the same force as used to press down on a piece of paper to make a sharp crease. After about 2 minutes I could see improvement. The stain was still very visible, but starting to diminish. 5) Keep at it by moving to other areas. Keep moving the cloth 6) After while it seemed that improvement had stopped while using the tight circular motion so I started to go side to side and up and down and improvement accelerated. I then went back to cirular motion. 7) Alternate circular motion with side to side and up and down motions. Reversing the circular motion direction from clockwise to counterclockwise also helped. I used the same small are of the cloth all the time, 8) Keep at it until the stain is almost completely gone. I then went to exclusively side to side and up and down with only occasional returns to the tight circular motion. Using the product was very satisfying because improvement started within a couple of minutes and the stains progressively disappeared so visible progress occurred as effort was exerted. This product worked extremly will for me. HIghly recommended if you are able to be patient. If you are expecting magical results in a hurry without pressing down on the cloth then this product's wonderful capabilities will elude you.

DIdn't work well for me on a bad heat mark.
*** Updated review: Okay, so my first review was after trying using it twice on the bad heat stain, and with only limited uses, it was not terribly effective. Since that time I have re-worked that spot 6-7 times, and I have to admit that the mark is fading. It has become faaaaaar less noticeable, and I now thing that if I just do it daily for a few more days that it will become almost unnoticeable. Mind you I'm working on the wooden arm for my recliner, and not an antique dining room table, so the stakes are a lot lower ( LOL!) and if it's mostly gone that will be fine for me. (-: I added a star to my review, and leave all of you here with a word of advice...Don't place a smoking hot bowl of beans and cheese on your wood surfaces, and you'll save yourself a lot of time and trouble!!! Sadly, this product just didn't do the job I bought it for. I can't say for sure that it is a "bad product" because the heat stain was pretty bad, and it did seem to lessen the clouding, but the fact remains that it did not remove it. It's a nice sturdy cloth though, so I'll keep it around for other more minor incidents on my wood furniture. It came quickly, and it doesn't stink like chemicals, so I gave it a three for those traits. Probably is a fine product to remove less serious water rings and minor heat stains than the one I inflicted on my table.

STFU!?!? IT ACTUALLY WORKS...!
/Users/Mar-DV7/Downloads/IMG_7316.JPG /Users/Mar-DV7/Downloads/IMG_8898.JPG Here's the story...I bought this table from someone who put a pizza on top of the table, of which the steam under the box ended up putting the watermarks on the table; I covered the table with a felt protector AND table cloth, and discovered more water marks as I took them off the table to use this water mark remover. You see, the manufacturer (gee, I love BASSETT hounds) wouldn't support the original owner with any warranty work, and the protective coating on the finish actually makes things worse, but they won't tell you that until after you've made the purchase and you're stuck with a table that WON'T be supported by the original manufacturer, who will also decline to provide you any local resources that they use for repairs... So, out of desperation after trying ash, mahogany and dark oak oils, and prayer, I bumped into THIS product while browsing through a Crate and Barrel site, and decided to look for it on Amazon. Found it. Ordered it. Tried it the very next morning (Sunday morning). ZOMFG, it works. As you can see in the before photo, things looked horrendous and hopeless, and I felt I had nothing left to lose--and then THIS cloth took away the white marks. I went back a couple hours later, just to see if it was one of those "oh, it only works when you first apply it, then the results fade." It wasn't. It lasted. Get this. NOW. Had I known about this product sooner, I would have GOTTEN it sooner, and spared myself the months of being irritated by the water marks on the table, and the reminder of how the manufacturer provided ZERO support of its table...

Not just a quick wipe, but it does work!
This worked well on 3 different water stains on my antique furniture. It was not a quick wipe, but the patience and effort paid off. I think as long as you have realistic expectations about the elbow grease part, this product was totally worth it.

Dicey but maybe worth a try
This improved my water spot but did not remove it. It still looks terrible and I will have to refinish the dining room table. The instructions do say if the water has penetrated too far it may not work. And it didn’t. So it’s dicey. But maybe worth a try. And easy to use.

Didn’t work for us
Tired on three different white stains on three different surfaces. Unfortunately it did not make any difference.

low key magic cloth
My roommate left a wet glass on my wooden dresser overnight and left this ugly white ring that I was convinced was permanent. I tried this cloth on it mostly as a last resort and after a few minutes of rubbing in circles the ring actually started fading and then eventually disappeared completely which kind of blew my mind. It does take some elbow grease and you should not give up after the first minute because nothing happens right away. I knocked off a star because it seems to work better on smaller or newer water marks but for what it does it is genuinely impressive.

Smells terrible
The smell is horrible, doesn’t remove the mark completely and then there are more instructions mentioned on the cover than what’s online, you can’t use it on matt wood, it will leave shinning spot!
