Unbeknownst to my son I purchased this for my son. His was well used (which is a great thing) and was starting to lose pages due to so much wear. He accidentally dropped his in some water and it was ruined. So when he came over for Christmas a few days later he was so happy to receive another one. This little book gives him "fuel" for his day.

I love to read the words of Spurgeon, how he brings God's word to a real place. It's not lighthearted or flowery, but crucial and Jesus affirming.On the other hand, the cover of the book is not leather, it's cheap, and flimsy and fake. I carefully removed the sticker from the back where the vinyl ripped leaving a large hole. Disappointing. I hope they use the large profit from the sale of this book for a good cause, not exploiting peoples need for insights into God's word.

First let me say this. The content of the book is amazing. It has been a great encouragement to me on a daily basis. You should buy some form of this book to add to your daily reading.Here is the reason I gave it three stars. Just two weeks after receiving this the middle page fell out. you can see the binding in the center of the book but the page that fell out was not even bonded into the book. Its like they forgot the page then just decided to slip it in hoping that no one would notice. For $18 you would think it would be better quality than this. The book is nice and compact and feels like it is very nice quality, and it is. But this is very disappointing. If I had only paid 3 or 5 dollars I would not say anything, but for nearly $20?

Wonderful devotional for use every day, year after year. I keep an extra copy or two on hand to give as gifts, and everyone loves it. It’s slim, elegant, a great gift for anyone. The devotions are all based on Scripture promises, and are encouraging and instructive without being lengthy. I have read mine everyday for many years now.

Great devotional and nice size and great quality. Spergeon's devotional comments are very faith provoking! I bought several for Christmas gifts. I prefer the green over the burgandy, bought several green and burgandy. If you want a devotional that you can take on the go, this would fit the bill. I prayfully read this with 2 other devotionals in the morning and find it is complementary to the others causing me to look toward my Saviour and cry out dear Jesus!

I love to give this as a gift having received it as a gift six years ago. It’s hard to beat Charles Spurgeon. It travels well since it’s so small. I look forward to being fed each day I open it.

I am very happy with my copy of Spurgeon's Faith's Checkbook. This is an excellent way to start my day, a promise of God that speaks to where I live and an insightful commentary by the great British preacher, C.H. Spurgeon. It features the King James Version.

It is a great book that gives you thought provoking ideas to meditate on during the day. The hardest thing is that it uses the KinG James version.

UPDATE .... After using for a few months I discovered (like another customer) that the pages started to fall out in the middle - since they were not properly fixed in. I received a refund from Amazon - and have ordered a new one.Wonderful daily readings from Spurgeon. The slimline book looks very attractive (even though imitation leather). The pages (like a Bible) are thin - but my highlighting did not bleed through. However, it has a large white sticker on the back - which, when peeled off leaves a nasty mark. This is such a shame.

Excellent daily readings full of wisdom and insightful depth of the knowledge of God. Spurgeon is a godly man whose writings have immense depth and will be an encouragement in your daily walk with God giving insight into scripture.

It was a gift, but it was both welcomed and an encouraging read so far. Highly recommended

very nice book, very well bound together with a lovely feel to the touch; of course, most importantly, the content is truly amazing!
