Did the Job...
I got these to replace some power cords I rigged for a live audio rack that were too long. These are well-made and reasonably priced. However, as others have commented, the actual CORD part is only about 7 1/2" long. The company ought to make the overall length a few inches longer to make it easier to work with the cords in tight spaces.

Yes, They're Short. Exactly what I needed!
My package must've been one of the unsatisfied customer's returns as a couple were out of their individual packaging, no biggie, I doubt there is any measurable wear or degradation. Had to chuckle.I've got too many power bricks thoughtfully designed to reach as far as possible from the outlet. It was a nice gesture by all the manufacturers to make sure every use-case was covered but at some point it's just a pain in the butt.We don't have Radio Shack any more and unless you're really lucky there aren't corner stores selling these things.Regarding the length: the length (minus the metal prongs) is exactly 12". If that's what you need then these will work fine. If you need longer than that; keep looking.18AWG so probably won't work with your 120V home wire-feed welder. Basic consumer electronics should be fine.

Great cable to reduce clutter
There’s no reason to have multiple feet of cable lying around, getting in the way, tripping up us humans when these short cables are available from a trusted source.

Could be longer
I was looking for short power cables for computer monitors located near a power strip on an office desk. This would avoid bunching up the cables that come with the monitors to reduce clutter. These are working, but 18", not 12" would allow more flexibility in locating the monitors. Otherwise, they do the job.
