Scalextric C7006 Digital Chip for Non DPR Saloon Cars

I bought two of these, one each of the C7005 & C7006 and I need 15 more! The C7006 is for the Saloon cars and I have a range of them from the 1970s through the 2000s. I installed this inside a 2007 Audi TT. It takes a little thinking about but this later model car has is fairly easy to adapt although you will need to use a soldering iron. I've opened up a few of my other cars, and I can see some are going to be easier than others, but I'm looking forward to getting them all working on my new digital layout. The first time I tried the car, it did not work as I had put the brushes back on incorrectly.....so read the instructions and take their advice, and verify the car works before putting the body back on!

The bottom line is that if you have specific types of Scalextric cars and a digital track, you need this specific converter to use those cars on that track. Period. End of story.The converter works perfectly, and if it were simple to install, I'd give it five stars. As it is, it took me about half an hour to install it. Next time around I could likely do it in a third to half that amount of time. But it is a little convoluted and you have to watch what you're doing.Works like a charm... just wish it were as simple to install at the other digital converter types.
