I have read many of Boyd's books and I find them to be very useful in my daily walk but there is something so much more in this book. This is his best book and it is a must read if you want to be the best leader, person, spouse, parent, worker and friend you can be. God has used Boyd to influence the Kingdom in a mighty way through Learning to Lead Like Jesus. The book is written in a way that I spent one day per chapter going through it. I wanted to go keep going but I knew I needed to take each chapter and ponder on it for a day. It was simply written and easily digestible but the truths in this book were so deep, it would not have done it justice to read it straight through. I am looking forward to re-reading again in a month to make sure I take to heart the lessons of this book. I lead a ministry working with orphan children in Africa and it is a difficult job and I know I need to be poured into sometimes to refill my cup to pour out. This book has me overflowing and re-energized to serve Him. I love the book so much that I bought one for all of board members because I want what is God's best for them and I want our ministry to serve well. I am also buying them for all of the team members on the trip I just took our orphanage/school in Kenya. **full disclosure** I was given a copy of the book by the publisher. A great book to maximize your Kingdom impact!
Learning to Lead like Jesus is the best book I have read in the last year. I have read many of Boyd's books and I find them to be very useful in my daily walk but there is something so much more in this book. This is his best book and it is a must read if you want to be the best leader, person, spouse, parent, worker and friend you can be. I was all in with the very first chapter....the introduction of the 11 Characteristics for great leadership qualities like Christ. As an executive level public servant trying to walk out my faith everyday. I’m left wondering how to balance leadership in a world now that wants quick sound bites, over quality human service care, a world where divisive rhetoric over is being pushed over principled humanity, integrity and leadership. Boyd’s book gave me hope in a world going mad, a world absent of moral leadership, and fraught with hopelessness. Leadership for today and tomorrow will require men and women inside and outside of church buildings (as we ARE the church)...to exercise these 11 characteristics daily. I highly recommend this book.

The BEST Leadership Book I have read!
I LOVE this book! Literally highlighted the whole thing. Definitely one of my top 10 most influential books/best reads. Super powerful if you are a Christian, but great wisdom for leaders of all religions and for people who don't consider themselves leaders - just really good advice on how to be a good person!

Fantastic for leaders in training.
Phenomenal book and we used it to host meetings for our recovery program. This really helped our leaders connect with the students on a level they’ve never experienced before. Our success rate has risen since incorporating these skills and teachings through the grace of God.
