Clay Bread Warmers
They are a little smaller than anticipated, but worked just fine.

Getting harder to find
It is getting harder to find some of the classic kitchen staples I remember having in my parents' kitchen. This warmer is small, but does a decent job. No, it won't keep your buns toasty hot for an entire meal, but it definitely keeps them warmer longer. I ordered two, because we use a medium-sized bread basket, but even for a small basket two might be helpful. They cool more quickly than I would like, but I don't know if that speaks of the quality of the terra cotta or the temperature of our house. Either way, they do help keep the rolls warm, and that's what we wanted.

Picture is deceiving
The warmer is smaller than expected the measurement are really 4 1/2 X 3 the picture is deceiving it looks bigger in the picture. My fault for not paying attention to detail. I saw the picture and never really looked at the actual measurements. Time will tell if it keeps my bread warm since it is a Christmas gift along with a loaf of homemade bread and handmade basket. I will update after Christmas and give a review on whether or not it keeps my bread warm. The warmer is nice it’s thick has a nice raised decor. I hope the thickness makes up for the size and stays warm.

Sized for a small breadbasket
Used as a gift inside a small basket with a cloth napkin. Could have been a bit larger.

Great for toast and hot rolls
This works very well. I just pop it in the toaster to warm, slice and toast or heat bread as usual, and the tile keeps the bread warm throughout the meal. The 5x3 size fits nicely in either of my bread baskets. I wrap it in a crocheted cotton cloth, put it in the bottom of the basket, and put a large napkin or bread cloth over the top to wrap the bread in. With this, I can have the bread done before it is time to sit down and eat, and not be in the kitchen finishing the bread while everyone else is already at the table.

Doesn’t work
I had high hopes for this bread warmer since I have a woven bread basket that does not hold in the heat.I didn’t get hot enough in the toaster to keep anything warm. I’m going to try heating it in the oven but I hate turning the oven on just to heat a warming tile. Not a good buy for me.

Not as described
The stone is really tiny! The description says it is 3 x 5 inches. It is actually 2.5 x 4.5. It was supposed to be here before Christmas (the reason I ordered this one) but did not arrive until after Christmas. The description said that it comes in a "pretty" package and nice enough to give as gift. The one I received came in bubble wrap with a piece cardboard from the package stuck in the with the stone! I guessing so one can read the company name and heating instructions. I ordered a bread basket and this was the one recommended as it would fit the bread basket. It doesn't even cover half the basket. No I would not recommend this stone!
