Barley Straw Balls Natural Pond Cleaner for Water Green Algae and Blanketweed 300ml

My half whiskey barrel pond was doing quite well until it was a couple of months in. The water was brown, like tea and then became cloudy and green. I had oxygenating plants in as advised, I tried fishing out any debris etc. So I decided to try these Barley Straw Balls. I popped 3 in at first , then another one after a week. After a month the water is now crystal clear! I keep popping one in every now and again just to keep on top of it. Delighted with the result and highly recommend!

This is amazing stuff. I had emptied my pond. Made it wildlife friendly and refilled it. Beautifully clear. Then the extremely hot weather happened. On e day clear. The next day what looked like a green oil slick in the top. Within days I couldn’t see through the green. I ordered these balls. You just work out how much you need then pop them in. The next day it was 50% clearer. Within 48 hours it is crystal clear. Can’t recommend them highly enough.

My pond had a huge unexpected boom in algae and these cleared the water up beautifully. The algae did make the water murky again unfortunately so should definitely be used alongside other treatments if you're looking to clear up you pond. A great tool for maintaining the ponds clarity for sure

Bought to clear red algae and improve water clarity/visibility. They cleared up the algae fairly quickly but have had no discernible effect on the water clarity. Tried barley straw instead and those worked within 2-3 weeks as expected.

Perfect for my tiny pond and do easy to use.

Used for very green water. Very easy to use, measured water into a bowl, then filled bowl to same level and just tipped into the pond. Awaiting results

1st time I've used these. Took a while to look like they were working but did clear the water up.
