An honest opinion
I received just today and first impression was that it is a lot more compact than I thought, which is good. The Sergeant (ESB) seems pretty well made. You must remember it is Mylar and will have silver showing from being folded, though this only effects the looks it isn’t a big deal. Upon opening I found it somewhat difficult, because it is airtight and that is normal, so take it slow. I lit up the the (ESB) with a black light and saw no issues with the coating and the tape on the seems is really solid. I stepped outside and got in, it’s currently 42F and after a few minutes I got pretty hot. The wind proof waterproof portion really shows when trying to roll back up, best bet is to fold hotdog style a few times and roll from the bottom to get the air out.The biggest issue I found was that the lettering on the (ESB) flakes off, gets everywhere and kind of sticks. But that’s for looks and isn’t an issue if it’s a reall emergency.Overall I really like the quality and hope that I never have to use it, though I feel I’ll stay warm and comfortable with it. Plus if I ever have any issues there’s a lifetime warranty, so that’s good.

Lightweight, sturdy storage pouch, about the size of a soda can!
This emergency sleeping bag seems to be well made and the material seems to be puncture resistant and flexible material. It comes in a sturdy draw string storage pouch and the space and weight is minimal. It’s a good addition to any emergency kit or for emergency situations. For the price it’s a good deal!

Be prepared for the Arctic Blast
With the extreme Arctic cold moving south into the Mid West and then moving East into the Mid Atlantic and New England, I decided that the smart and prepared thing to do was to have an Emergency Sleeping Bag in my jeep. Sergeant’s sleeping bag is made of a mylar thermal material originally designed by NASA to retain 90% of your body heat, tear resistant, water and wind proof with a reusable storage pouch. It is even red to signal rescuers. Better to be warm and safe than cold and sorry.

Usable
This review is not one meant to be negative. The light weight nature is great, the sturdiness is good w/ solid stitching/seams, but the material is questionable at this time (over time will be the real test), as for water proof it is good for a bit but eventually the water will seep through (again not a negative but it's not completely water proof over a period of time being wet (if that makes any sense), what is required if an after market water proof spray to help it stay water resistant but even the spray should be re-applied as time progresses. Again this is not a negative review. The product is very much usable and an acceptable product.

This thing worked and possibly saved my life!
This thing worked beyond my expectation. I went tent camping and the temperature dipped to 27 degrees. I thought I was prepared for the colder temperatures but the gear i brought did not withstand the colder temps. I work up in the early stages up hypothermia. Luckily, I had threw this emergency bag into my pack last minute and thank goodness I did. I got inside it and then inside my sleeping bag. Although over time this caused some condensation inside the bag it instantly (10-15 minutes) warmed me up enough that I no longer was in a panic. I have always been skeptical of the Mylar emergency blankets/bags but this thing proved me wrong. The Sergeant Emergency bag was well worth it.

Sturdy and light weight
Haven't had a chance to use this yet, but it appears to well made and sturdy compared to other emergency blankets and sleeping bags that I looked at. Packs down real well and is very light weight. This appears to be a good product to have in your pack or your vehicle. Will field test it in a few weeks and write a more detailed review at that time.
