It is 100% ground sumac, vegan, no MSG, no salt, no GMO. It is delicious!! It is processed in a facility that also processes wheat and peanuts, if that is a concern.

Q: Is this the same as poppyseed "meal"?

No. I tend to use ground sumac for savory applications. Poppyseed meal, I have not used. However, ground poppyseeds tend toward a paste which is wonderul in baked goods. Think like almond paste.
