Look Cool, but Dent and Ding Easily
Summary: These swords look amazing, they are a great weight, and they are fairly priced; but they dent and ding really easily if you use them 'in battle' or to have 'sword flights' with your friends/ kids. Background: My daughter and I have epic sword fights. I bought her some of the Nerf N-Force swords a while back (2015) and we had a blast with them. You can abuse those swords and cause minimal damage. I was hoping to replace them (now 3-4 years later) with some cooler options.Quality: The design quality is definitely obvious. They are REALLY cool swords. But that is about as far as it goes. Because if you strike them against ANYTHING once...there will be a mark -- even if it is another sword from the same manufacturer. This is a little disappointing. I bought these as toys to be abused and played with...not be foam swoard that sit on a shelf, haha!Value: The cost of these things are fair, but only if you don't mind them getting destroyed pretty quickly if your kids are 'rough' with them. And by 'rough', i mean "play with them at all', haha. THey will get dented, dinged, and damaged pretty quickly. Some may not have an issue with this as it almost makes the swords more authentic? Because in-real-life, if a sword were actually used, it would probably show damage as well? So maybe they are realistic?Final Thoughts: I was happier with the Nerf play swords. In fact, I bought a couple more of them. These swords will still be fun to play with, but not nearly as fun as the Nerf ones. I do not recommend these swords unless they are being used as non-functional PROPS only (e.g., Halloween Costumes....Acting....Theater...etc.). If that is the purpose you are looking to use them for....these are easily 5-star swords.

It's pretty cool. Just buy it.
It has a good weight to it. Not too light to think it's cheap, but not too heavy to not want to carry it around or play with it. A couple minor blemishes in the foam, but nothing too noticeable. Gives it a slight battle worn look. The handle has a textured leather look. Instantly I thought of wrapping it in leather cord that can be picked up at any craft store. It's not overly thick like a cheap toy stor foam sword is. The blade has a nice shine to it, so no need to spray paint it for a more realistic look for a prop. Though I still may need to if I decide to take a razor to it to clean up the seams a little.

An Excellent Costume Prop
I give this five stars, because it is exactly what I thought it was and exactly what I wanted. This is not for LARP, the foam is too hard and the construction doesn't feel like it could handle a beating, BUT it is excellent for costume purposes. And honestly, you're not going to find a good LARP weapon for $20. But again, it is perfect as a costume prop. That's what I wanted it for and I was very impressed with the product. It looks great in person, even the fine engraving marks on the cross guard and pommel. And the seller shipped it to me much faster than I anticipated! I'm really happy with this purchase.

Very durable
I bought three of these for my kids and they have held up very well to the abuse that have been inflicted upon them. The only exception is the paint comes off very quickly. Otherwise they haven't ripped or been damaged in the least.

Sturdy foam sword.
it is a foam sword. You can't expect much of it. Not for swinging. I got x2 with my Alliance shield to hang it up. They are still fairly light so hanging up was not an issue. The blade part is heavier than the handle, so be care with swinging it. Other than that, perfect length, the blade itself is not too thick - cross 2 of them on the wall just fine.

Looks so realistic hanging on my wall that you can't tell it's not real steel!
Looks so realistic hanging on the wall of my man-cave that I'm afraid someone will think it's a real weapon, even though it's made out of some kind of plastic foam! Seriously, from across the room, you cannot tell that this is not made of steel. This one looks more realistic than the King Arthur Excalibur sword by the same company.Safer than having a real sword hanging on your wall.I cannot rate it for sturdiness because so far I have only use it for display, hanging on the wall of my man-cave, have not yet tried dueling with it (against another plastic sword or against a lightsaber!).

Warped handle
Ordered this for Halloween prop. Impressive-looking, but the cross guards and the pommel were warper/twisted. I thought it had to do with being sent in a box that wasn't wide enough to allow the sword to be inserted without skewing the box a bit to create more distance diagonally (the sword was inserted into the box, turned 45ยบ). I rigged some rubber bands and tongue depressors for a few days to try and straighten it all back out, but after about an hour it went back to its warped and twisted shape. Also, echoing other reviews, the paint on the handle (non-blade) portion does rub off. The blade looks very nice though, for the price point and the material it's made of. I would be willing to pay about 17 USD for it, but I'm of the thrifty, DIY persuasion.

incorrect product info! But still awesome.
cons, first of all the blade was way to chrome, and the hand guard was thinner and longer than in the picture. The piece that goes from the hand guard to the blade is to short, and it didn't have the Celtic markings.Good things, the sword is go quality and well, it looks like a claymore, so that's a plus ๐. It has a nice weight and feels good in the hand. So over all I think that it's worth it, the sword is good quality and inexpensive and I'm just the guy that got a slightly different model.

If you're looking for a foam larp sword, do ...
If you're looking for a foam larp sword, do not buy this. It's not meant for larp. It's a prop sword and that's it.
