Small, but nice improvement over normal belt
I had been using Dark Iron Fitness belt for powerlifting. I squat north of 400lbs and deadlift north of 450lbs, both for reps. I wanted an inexpensive, but durable, weight lifting belt for my heavy powerlifting sets. The Dark Iron Fitness belt wasn't standard specs, since it was thin walled and two pronged (versus a 10mm, single prong pro belt). But I used it for over a year, it was very comfortable (more than a 10mm for sure) and I never had much trouble with the double prong vs single prong. And above all else, it was about $40 versus the $80-$100+ for a 10mm leather belt.Recently I began (intentionally) losing weight and wound up needed a smaller belt. While I was very happy with my Dark Iron Fitness belt, I saw that this Cobra Grips belt was functionally similar at a lower cost. Essentially, this belt is exactly like the Dark Iron Fitness one. Probably even made by the same company or contractor. And, in practice, it feels and functions exactly the same, and seems just as durable. The only difference is the "Cobra Grip" at the end of the belt. Admittedly, it looked like a gimmick, but I didn't mind since I was saving money. I have to tell you, while it's not a huge difference from a regular belt, the cobra grip is actually really nice. It's a lot easier to grab and feels more natural in my hand. This makes it a little easier tightening and removing the belt (especially when panting after a heavy set). If the situation had been reverse, and the Dark Iron Fitness belt had been $15-$20 less expensive than the Cobra Grips, I would still have gone with the cheaper belt and been happy. But since this is a cheaper belt and has the added bonus of the easy Cobra Grip, I'd strongly recommend this belt.As a side note, I have received no compensation for this review. Been getting a lot of products offering "refunds or free items" for good reviews and I won't participate in that. I feel that reviews should be merit based, not incentivized.

Check the thickness! This is a 5 MM belt
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. *Stitching is nicely done*Waist sizing is accurate*Great quality*5 MMI really like the design however for the PR's that I am trying to get, I need a 10 MM thick belt for more support. When I opened this product it was not what I expected in terms of thickness, so definitely make sure you check to see if it meets your needs. In the description for this product there is no size for the thickness of the belt and I wish it was specified so I would know before I purchased it. This particular belt is measured at 5 MM*** and hopefully this can be added so that there is no confusion for future customers.Sincerely,K

Back saver and super stylish. Support plus edge!
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I bought this belt because I’ve just recently started lifting heavier, but had been experiencing lower back pain when deadlifting and squatting. I was told a belt may not only improve my lift, but possibly fix that issue. I can say that since I’ve started using this belt, which has only been for a couple of weeks, that my lift is heavier; I was able to hit a new PR, and my back pain is nonexistent. I’m still in the process of correcting my form and setting my ego aside from my lifts, but I’m very pleased to say I’ll do so with this belt. And it’s really freaking badass looking. The red stitch really gives it that edge.

What you would expect from a belt.
I would like to start by mentioning that the size chart worked out great, making the belt very comfortable (even though I was a 1/2" passed it's designated size). I'm a big boy at 265lbs, so I always have to be weary when selecting sport equipment for a good fit. The belt looks just like the picture and the leather is about a quarter inch thick. I use to get sore in my lower back after excersizing squats, but after using this product the only place I feel pain now is in the muscle.

Buy This Now!!!
This belt is everything I wanted. Everything about it is heavy duty. I've had them all and this one is as good or better than every one of them. Been lifting for close to 30 years now. I don't use crap. This is legit. OMT... it's stretch is normal. Plenty of holes too. Rock on!

Great Belt for the Price!!!
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I used to use a generic golds gym belt from Walmart and I didn't realize how uncomfortable it was until I purchased this belt. Its not a thick power lifting belt but I does the job well. I dead lift 600lbs and squat 450lbs and I feel perfectly safe using this belt. This company also makes other great products for lifting that you should go check out.

Solid belt, nice looking
Good quality belt. Material is thick enough and robust, but still flexible. Buckle seems good. Stitching seems good. Logo is nice. And overall an attractive and unique belt. However, the "hand grip" end of the belt, while adding the uniqueness, is really useless: I find myself avoiding it when handling the belt, whether putting it on or off. It doesn't help at all to cinch it up, and I instead grab the main portion of the belt. Although the belt is comfortable, I find that it is impossible for me to put it on tight enough to provide the lumbar support I need when squatting or doing straight leg deadlifts: it does migrate up my back just a bit no matter how tight I put the thing on. (I admit this is probably not the fault of this specific belt's design at all.) I need the belt to rest across my low back and stay there, and this belt doesn't wanna. Still, it's a good belt and I think most people would be happy with it.

Quality product...
Bought this belt for deadlifting and squatting. I'd bought another leather belt which was too wide and caused discomfort when I bent over for a deadlift (not an issue with squatting). This belt allows for the bend without digging into my upper abs. The width provides a great "wall" to push against when bracing your core. If I leave it on for the accessory part of leg day (specifically leg press), it does tend to dig in a bit and I end up removing it but it's not really needed for leg press anyway, so it works great in terms of the purposes I bought it for.
