The Essential 55 Workbook Paperback – July 21, 2004

As a karate teacher I expect quite a few of things out of my students already, but it's a great read so far - the author is great to watch live - his energy is great and he is very wise! Worth the money worth the time.

The way Ron Clark teaches is awe inspiring. The way he approaches each subject is unique and interesting. His "tricks & Tips" should be golden rules to anyone in the teaching profession. Just in case you are wondering We are ALL in the teaching profession......

This is an oldie but goodie! Help teach your students social skills they may have missed growing up!! It takes a village!!

I love the principals of the Essential 55 and the workbook really helps to study these in detail and convey them to student, and other professionals in the teaching arena ! Values matter and the Essential 55 convey values, and fairness! And build sel-f worth in every child !

Love this book! As a devout Ron Clark follower and an RCA "Slide Certified" teacher, I knew I would love the book. I haven't had a chance to use the activities with my class yet (still 21 days left of summer, but who's counting! ;) but the book is already full of post it notes and jottings in the margins! From what I've read, I feel that the activities could all be used or easily adapted to any grade level with minor tweaking. Some are role-play based, some are survey/questionnaire style and some open ended...what I'm getting at is your kids won't get bored, the activities have a wide variety of ways to bring enthusiasm to the classroom, and are all effective methods for teaching and practicing the Essential 55.My only complaint is that the item was listed as "little or no wear" or "near new" (I honestly can't remember the exact wording they used) and the cover is bent so badly it's near ripping, and the spine is cracking significantly and I'm afraid I'm going to lose pages!

I purchased this book along with his other book, "The Essential 55". This book was designed mainly for parents to use with their kids at home. There are worksheets and role-playing ideas for each rule that will help reinforce them. I think that this book would be great for teachers to use as well.

I already have the Essential 55 book and got this to help review. I try to go through the lessons with my 11 year old son whenever we can. He's such a smart guy and I don't disagree with any of his lessons
