Radius Garden 10111 Ergonomic Aluminum Hand Transplanter, Red

I don't usually like giving 5 star in ever category but this one deserves it.It's not as this as I expected so "sharp" made me scratch my head. However, from that aspect, I bought this to transplant a specific plant I didn't expect to germinate already and it blew me away. I didn't have anything that I could get in the ground with much precision in order to not disturb other new plants and not damage this one (Standing Cypress rosette) It worked great, very easy to handle, moreso than I expected, but beyond comfort, it makes it much easier to have better control for the few times you need precision.Since it worked to well, getting the first one out and replanted and with easy cleaning up of the extraction site, I attempted another that was literally within 1/2" of another plant and about 1" from another. That was tricky but it worked again, perfectly. No plant was hurt and they're all growing great.A surprise was how the odd curved handles (got a big one too) makes it extremely comfortable and more control. I didn't expect that.It's just a shovel, and kind of expensive, but man I gotta tell you, as an amateur, this thing gives me the confidence to move anything around that needs to be and I'm planting 100% by seed (100% Native's) right now.Expensive is when you pay more than what somethings worth. You can buy a spade for half, or less of the cost but you won't get anywhere near the value.I also got a big scoop which I didn't need, I didn't think but it came in handy also. Same comfort, and it's got extra plus's like serrations which I found was great for cutting roots etc. and moving soil/medium without multiple scoops or dropping half of it.

When planting plants and I can do a a dozen or more flats in a planting, my hands and arms get tired. This one allows me to increase the transplanting ease and increase the time for getting the plants into the ground. Works well in both loose and slightly compacted clay based soils. I love the handle design to decease fatigue on my hand and arm.

This tool is comfy to hold with the curved rubber handle. It is really strong/sturdy and is the perfect width to get the job done! The job in my case was digging out a hole in the ground to fit a brick in deep enough so it would be sturdy as a wall around my flower bed. Oh and it is very reasonably priced! Great buy all around!

I ordered the set of different sizes. They are so comfortable on your hands and wrist. Easy to use. Heavy duty but still light. Love Mine!

I just use my brand new transplanter. I really love how deep I can get into the ground and how sharp the end is and it is very sturdy. I had to dig through stony soil and it held up a lot better than I did! I Highly recommend it

This gardening tool is fantastic. I can loosen dirt and cut roots for plant removal or division. I also use it to prepare a place to set in a bulb or plant. Love it.
