Seems fine
Update : Totally amazing. A large starving feral cat came around looking for food. I fed it and put this on his back. This stuff really works! All of its fleas were gone when it came back the next day, but I don't know if it works for more than maybe five days. Like the first few days, his fur was weird as the ointment spread. The cat stopped biting and scratching which was amazing. But it just wore off probably because he hangs out outside doing cat stuff. After a week, he caught a few fleas again. So I'm going to give him a flea bath. The flea shampoo makes the cat's fur fluffy and smell nice. I'm going to try alternating weeks with this and a flea bath. Old review : I really don't know if this works. It says don't use on kittens less than 5 pounds. Here's what I like: (1) one pulls the cap off, turns it around backwards, and pushes cap back in to poke hole in applicator. Better than fetching scissors, (2) price.

Affordable but not the most effective. Great if you don't have a persistent problem with fleas
If you live in the US South, I don't believe this will be strong enough. From what I read, enough fleas can become immune to Etofenprox, the active ingredient in this product, whereas a combination of Imidacloprid and Pyriproxyfen are much more effective because they use unique biological attacks on fleas and the growth cycles. Others include Selamectin (Revolution) or Fluralaner (Bravecto). DONT BUY THIS!!!!!!!!
I am writing to warn you against purchasing this product for your cat. After using it on my own cat, she now has a patch of missing fur on her back. I regret not reading the reviews sooner, as I have since learned that this company has a reputation for making animals sick. Given these safety concerns, I strongly advise against using this brand. Update: I am highly upset!!!! The spot on my cat back has gotten worse. Please for the love of god don't EVER use this on your cat! Don't use the this brand on anything of your animals. They have a reputation and I'm sad that I didn't do the proper research before I used this on my cat. If I could write this review and leave zero stars I would.

Not as effective (later kick-in, earlier wear-off)... but definitely the most affordable
★★★★★ Value for money ★★★☆☆ Effectiveness ★★☆☆☆ Scent (Strong) ★★☆☆☆ Ease of use (less concentrated/large volume) tldr: If you can afford better, go for better. This is by far one of the most affordable options, but as people says, "you get what you pay for", it is also not the most effective. Let's talk about our settings... we have a herd of community cats that we look after and sometimes let into our home for petting. We noticed that they have fleas, and we started using this product. It is definitely working (not placebo), and is better than just combing. We took the cats to TNVR where they uses other professional product, and by comparison, this product, unfortunately, is definitely not as effective as those - it takes slightly longer to kick in, and (feels like it) wears off a little quicker. Also, this product comes in a larger volume/less concentrated, and thus harder to apply if you're not good at it. The cat WILL definitely know you did something and be grumpy for half a day or so, since its volume is larger and is rather smelly. Oh - and these do not control flea eggs. Check your situation: If you have only one cat and they are indoor-outdoor, I'd recommend using better products. But if you are like me, who have a herd of community cats that trust you enough, and you'd like to ease their itchiness and help controlling the flea population in the area, this is your choice. If you have flea infestation in house, you'll need the entire package: something stronger that also control flea eggs, plus a insecticide/flea fogger that kills off every flea in house.

No problems. Only less fleas.
Within 3 weeks of using this product on all 6 of my cats, the fleas are FINALLY better. This has been the only product that has worked. They had no problems at all. The price of flea meds for 6 cats really gets pricey, so this was a great deal for the money. All I did was run a line from the back of the neck to top of their heads. (Recommended by my veterinarian) after the 3 weeks, there were no baby fleas, only large ones left. This product does not work instantly, but the adult fleas cannot lay more eggs. I've been brushing and removing the adult fleas from their fur. Super easy to use. It works and lasts nearly the whole month.

Odorless and easy to admi ister
I was hopeful for this product. I've lived in my house almost 20 years and NEVER had a flea problem until this year! I took in 4 feral cats, 3 which were kittens. Got them all spayed/neutered and made them indoor cats. Phyn and Sam, kitten brothers turned 8 on Feb. 18; a younger kitten I found in my chicken coop, turns 4 Aug. 24, and another female that showed up in 2017, will be 9 on 11/03. My bravest and sweetest cat is Phyn, who still wants to be outside, He has managed to jump a gate and dart out the door if I'm distracted. He heads right out into the pasture, rolls around in the dirt, then on through the grass and weeds, and only comes back when he's ready. There is so much wildlife in my pasture, rabbits, opossum, raccoon, skunk, armadillo, coyote, and other feral cats, or cats people just dump, and who knows what they're leaving behind. This time Phyn brought fleas. I always try to clean him up, wipe him down with a wet washcloth as soon as he comes in, but it evidently wasn't enough. Never noticed anything until all the cats were scratching and licking beyond normal grooming, almost obsessive. Already had relatively new flea collars on just in case; got the HARTZ UltraGuard Spray which has a very strong smell. Then I bought this HARTZ UltraGuard Topical Flea & Tick Prevention. I thought it was something new to try, but it smells just like the bottled spray that I'd been using on the dogs/cats and their bedding, except it has some sort of carrier oil probably to keep it from just running off the skin or evaporating quickly, like the regular spray would. These individual ampules, or whatever they’re called, are a harder plastic and not so easy to squeeze; and because the cats smell it before I can make a sneak attack even if they're sleeping, it's been nearly impossible to even get close enough to squeeze out the solution into their fur before they scamper away. It might be great for 2 people to do this, but virtually impossible for someone alone with very skittish cats. I put a flea collar on Sam a month ago...but he hates being restrained...it was 7 full days before he would come near me again; and because he ran away this time before I could squeeze all this solution onto his neck, it squirted on part of his back. For me, it was a total waste of money. I would have been better just spraying the bottle formula on the back of their necks while they were sleeping. The cats are also not supposed to lick it off themselves or each other, but without being able to quickly squeeze the tube, it's just made a mess and they were licking it off their fur. Not good! I'm pretty sure it's not going to to last a month; and administering a second dose in September might prove to be even more difficult if not impossible. Won't be buying again.

The Cat is Happy!!
Arrived speedily, on time & in excellent condition!! I have always trusted Hartz Flea & Tick Products for my Pets. This is my first purchase for my pet Cat and it worked tremendously well. I have had Dogs all of my life & Hartz has been my Go To Product for Flea Treatments for decades. I got a Cat about a year ago and somehow a few fleas managed to get onto her inside of the house. As soon as I applied the tube of Flea Treatment, the fleas were jumping Ship, so to speak. Even though I play with and scratch my Cat every day, Ik had not seen or felt a flea, but I knew that she had a few from her scratching at her neck area and fleas are very sneaky. Needless to say, they were "located" and started to vacate as soon as I applied this Hartz Flea product. The Oil is clear and easily comes out of the tube for you to massage it into your Cat's Shoulder Blades and Neck areas. She did sneeze after a few minutes, but she is just fine and received her first good night's sleep in 2 weeks. Highly recommend this product!! It does what it says and does not play around. My Cat is about 5 lbs. and is 4 yrs. of Age. I purchased the 3 Pack of Tubes @ 0.056 fl. oz. or (1.65 ml). It also kills Deer Ticks and Repels Mosquitoes. You can't go wrong!!

Too aggressive
This product is too aggressive. The day after use my cat developed a severe skin rash on the application area as if the skin had been burnt. The cat had to go thru cortisone treatment to help clearing the rash. After the rash cleared the cat was left with thickened skin where the product was applied.
