Fit well and excellent build
I did have to file the back slot underneath a bit to fit. Once filed, the back sight fit like a glove. There are so many different models of S&W so this is to be expected. It was nice getting two extra screws for the top strap. Another nice surprise was getting both red and green fiber optics for the front.

Highly recommended ONLYIF you have the 10 shot version 0f the S&W 617.
I was surprised when I removed the original sights and found that there was only one screw mount used with my 6 shot cylinder older version not the 2 screw mount for the new version10 shot cylinder. This requirement should be included in the product description or add a single screw mount option.

There is no hole in the front sight for the roll pin!

Bad description scam
Product description does not match and takes a month to get. Then they say you are outside the 30 day return policy. Masterful scam

Perfect fit on my 617
Pricey, but you get what you pay for. If you put it on a gun with a pinned front sight, you will need a gunsmith for the install.
