When I first became a homeschooler, I was overwhelmed because I believed you must "do" school at home the same as classroom school is "done". Ruth's book The Three R's was a huge burden-lifter. I realized that I am uniquely equipped to educate my children because, as their mother, I know them best. With her excellent scope and sequence, and practical ideas, I understood and could easily implement her powerful natural method.After a couple of years of homeschooling, I purchased the Kindle edition of A Biblical Home Education, because I wanted practical advice on how to use the Bible as my primary textbook. I can say that Ms. Beechick does an excellent job of making what seems like a complicated subject very practical and doable for ANY homeschool family. I am so grateful for the empowerment and the very practical how-to--even her "scope and sequence" of how to study at different age/reasoning levels of your child's development.This book is a true reminder that Christian homeschool is founded on Jesus Christ and His precious word. All other academics can be approached from that standard of truth. God's truth.Thank you, Ruth Beechick for such a practical tool.

I have not read this book completely because my son has not started homeschooling yet, but I bought this book because I want to use the bible as part of our history and literature lessons. So far what I have read is wonderful, and the points made about using the bible for academic purposes as well as for teaching doctrine are spot on. I look forward to using this resource as a part of my instruction. There is a lot of detail about using the bible in lessons and it is well organized; I believe it will be a great guide for me in my endeavor to use God's word as part of my curriculum!

This book was exactly what I needed for that final push into true freedom with my homeschooling methods. It can be rather terrifying to let go of the traditional means of educating and accept the freedom that exists when choosing to keep your children at home. As I read this book, I grew more and more comfortable with just trusting God and His Word to bring about the very results in my children that I long for them to have. The approach she presents is so simple and sensible I could feel my stress level decrease as I read. I've purchased other books that she has written and have not one regret.Thank you, Dr. Beechick, for taking the time to write books to share your wisdom with us.

Very encouraging book. Helped me get my priorities in line and keep things simple. I'm reminded that homeschool doesn't have to be difficult, expensive or stressful.

I have homeschooled for 5 years now. I graduated two and have two more (PreK and 4th Grade). I'm rereading this book to regain my passion for homeschooling. The late Dr. Beechick had some practice, God honoring insight for homeschool moms.

I have not finished reading it but it does seem to have some good information. I wish it was a little more instructional but over all a great read.

This book was recommended to me by another homeschool mom. Before I had even finished the borrowed copy I had ordered one of my own. I had it less than a week when I loaned it out. Filled with great reminders!

Ruth Beechick is a must for homeschoolers. Great insights. Great reference for a Biblical home education.

Love her writing style, down to earth and easy to read. Gave me confidence and more excited about teaching subjects like history! Will buy more of her books, highly recommended!
