It works well for starting rounds. Makes the loading process much easier and saves the knuckles... It is built fairly sturdy and seems to be of quality materials. If used as appropriately, there isn't much risk of pinching a finger or smashing a knuckle..

The actual product is fine, but it was a previously opened package. Luckily it had not been used. Still kind of disappointing.

This product is outstanding for starting any muzzloading bullets w/ or w/o sabots. The handle is small but provides plenty of leverage to get the bullet well into the barrel. The oversized portion prevents the handle from contacting the end of the barrel so a shooter can provide endless pressure without fear of pinching their skin or busting their knuckles. Also, the bored hole in the oversized portion makes this excellent for a t-handle. You really must try this out. I promise that you won’t go back.

This is the second one I've purchased due to losing the first. It is a must if you are using sabot rounds, especially when sighting in a scope. This tool saves your hands starting the bullet and the side handle feature makes seating the round with the rod much easier. This one is pricier than most starters but well worth it for comfort and ease of use.

Product is in fine working condition but I was sent a used item in an open package? I was under the impression the item was new and sealed. It does function but not impressed with the condition it was sent to me in.

I thought I would try something new this hinting season and I really did like the ease of using this to load rounds. I think it is definitely worth a try for the money if you are looking for a change.

This is a well made starter, and it works perfectly with my CVA .50 caliber muzzleloader. It is a worth while investment with the newer type of higher performance loads designed much like a rifle projectile/bullet. Always be safe when doing your own loading...safety first. Thank you.

First thing I notice the tip doesn’t properly fit the sabot. Not sure the amount of damage this poor fit will do to the plastic tip or the copper. Guess we won’t know until you’re kicking yourself afterwards. I do like that company has come to a solution to a problem to current products in the market. It seems most muzzleloader products are a joke of poor design and quality. This one seems to be going in the right direction.
