I have tried a litany of licorice products in search of one that is neither so salty it overpowers the licorice flavor, nor too mildly salty as to not even be satisfying. I believe this product has found the perfect balance between the two.If you are unfamiliar with Dutch salty licorice, you might be a little put off by this at first, so I recommend 'warming up' to the taste of salty licorice with other products like the Katjes herrings with only a slight saltiness. Once you've acquired the taste, then you can try these with a more discerning palate. I submit that you'll not regret spending the time to do so.If you're already a fan of Dutch licorice, buy these immediately and I would be surprised if they don't become your favorite right away.I couldn't stand Dutch licorice the first time I tried it (but the first one I tried was a double salt variety). I have since come to enjoy them very much. Gustaf's double salt really hits the spot if you want an intense punch of salt without much licorice flavor, and the Katjes herrings are on the other side with just enough salt to notice. These Lakrids have hit the spot precisely in the middle, and it's fantastic.Besides all this, the texture is very nice. Some might not like it, but it is sort of a breakaway / plastic feel, except far superior to something like Twizzlers. With those, you're actually eating plastic. With these, it's real licorice and you can tell. My main gripe with most salty licorice is that you can't even taste any licorice flavor, but with these Lakrids, it comes through loud and... savory.

Pricey, yes. Delicious, you betcha. Damn this is some good salt licorice. Has a unique flavor compared with some other salt licorice. This isn't made to eat a half a jar. This is meant to be enjoyed sparingly. 2 to 3 pieces is usually my limit. It can have a laxative affect if overdone. It's so flavorful I am satisfied after just a few pieces. Texture is perfect for this type of licorice.

I'm a lover of licorice, I thought I'd switch it up and try salty. I only could eat one piece and it made me feel sick from the strong ammonia taste in my mouth. Maybe I'm just not used to this kind of licorice but it's a no for me. I may try the sweet but this really put me off.

I love the strong but not overpowering taste of these licorice treats. The salt is perfect and again fully balanced and not overly salted. I am quite afraid I have found my licorice, so the only question is: can I get a 55 gallon drum full of them? 🤣

Salty as advertised. I accidentally got this instead of the regular. If you want regular this is not what you want. If you want salty, then this is a very good one 😉

If you do not know real licorice, do not buy. This is not a black twizzler. These come in a variety, the #2 is labeled as salty. The flavor was really good but not salty enough for my taste. Price was high, but it is billed as a premium experience.

This was exactly what I was looking for when I made my purchase. The flavor brought me back to when I was traveling in Europe. Salted licorice is not for everyone, but for those that like it this will hit all the notes you are looking for. Their customer service was also excellent and quickly resolved my issue when one of my packages did not arrive by sending me a new one without hesitation. Very friendly as well. I will continue to use them and try their other products!

For those of us looking for real licorice that packs a bold flavor profile with salt, this is it!! Just the right amount of saltiness, and the perfect balance of tender and chew with some texture— this is it!!! By far the cleanest ingredients I have ever discovered ( even compared to other imports) so pleased to recommend and start my subscription.

Very delicious and helps me if I’m feeling homesick.Salty liquorice is so comforting.It’s taken years but finally the lightbulb went on and my other person ‘gets’ it now and really likes it.It’s not as salty as some, but it’s still pretty good.Good entry level stuff for newbies who need to gradually work up to the stronger flavours.
