Out of the box these were much better than the pair of Howard Leight (R-02523) earmuffs I tried. The Walker earmuffs fit snug over my, and my wife's, ears. There were no gaps because we wear glasses. Even if we didn't wear glasses, we would while shooting. Unfortunately, our shooting range is closed for the end of the world so I cannot attest to how well it dampens sound, but it absolutely drowns out my family with the power turned off. These are not traditional noise cancelling headphones. With the power off, this will show you how well the earmuffs work. Turning them on activates the microphones, giving you super human hearing and they will immediately cut out when the noise gets too loud. If you are shooting, there will be no difference in the noise with the headphones on or off, just your ability to hear your surroundings. It comes with a sturdy case which is great, and also a pair of clear sport glasses. Very cool. They are comfortable, for both my wife and I, and will be ordering several more for my family. As an aside, shame on the Howard Leight company for using reprehensible advertising techniques for their product. The Howard Leight Company advertised their product to be bundled with N95 masks. No masks were delivered, only sub-par earmuffs. A special place in hell awaits them. On the plus side, I was able to find this excellent product because of their shameful behavior. Stick with Walker's quality and integrity.

Fits great, eliminate the surrounding sounds. You can control the volume.

These are awesome. I can hear everything on the range and it blocks all the higher noise. We used them at an indoor range and a shotgun outdoor range. I could hear the range officers speaking perfectly.

The Walker digital ear muffs are extremely sensitive. I turn them on and down to their lowest volume. They shut off at loud noises. I’d recommend them.
