Good, but a slight step down in quality
Bought this to replace the Duck cover that had lived a good life. While the first cover I bought held up well to the harsh Wisconsin winters and summers the quality of this one has me concerned about how well it will hold up. First one had a solid and durable feel, while this one is softer and feels much lighter weight. Overall it still fits well, is good quality, and looks good.

Fire Pit Cover
The cover fits our fire pit extremely well, with the adjustable straps snugging the covers. Itโs a heavy material that should last quite awhile.

Review after fourteen months: A strong, well constructed fire pit cover.
We purchased this Duck Covers fire pit cover to protect our Uniflame propane fire pit. Over a particularly cold, windy and snowy winter here in the Northeast, this cover looks just like when we unwrapped it over four months ago. It truly has rain and dew water just roll off of it and the snow and ice that pounded it and covered it for several months caused no rips, tears or pulls. The cover is a legitimate 40" on four sides and the Velcro straps on the edges allow for a snug fit. The fabric is decently thick, thick enough at least that even the pointed stone corners of our fire pit were not able to damage the cover. That is impressive since the previous cover we had fell victim to the elements in fairly short order.I will be sure to update if any issues develop with this cover but thus far, I consider it to be a great buy.UPDATE: Mother Nature could not damage this cover in any way after 1+ years; it still looked and protected like new...until such time, that is, that our power-chewing Labrador puppy destroyed three of the four Velcro straps during a short period of human inattention. I thought for a moment to make a replacement cover out of my dogs hide, but decided instead to just order another one of these covers.

This my second one, lasts about 4 years.
Great product. Just wish it was a little longer on the sides to cover the feet of the fire pit. The first one lasted 4 years.

Worked great for 3.5 years
This is a nice, well-made cover that protects well for a few years. It is on a fire pit on my exposed deck and protected the pit through many heavy storms. But the UV resistance is just ok. After 3 years, the material was noticeably more brittle. After 3.5 years, it is becoming too brittle to use and tears easily. I've got duct tape over 3 big rips and am about to buy a their Ultimate model (which I have on another pit and it is higher quality & holding up to UV better). This one would be fine if use it in a shaded area.

Good Covers
I have a lot of duck covers. One for the BBQ, A/C, fire pit, and patio chairs. What I've noticed about Duck Covers is that they look good, fit great, and are very light weight. The velcro tabs along the bottom help keep the cover in place - especially when the wind blows. Water protection is great when the covers are new but it tends to decrease over time due to the covers construction. The covers seems to be two fabric sheets welded together with a white plastic like material in the middle. Overtime, this while plastic sheet degrades and cracks and allows more moisture through the cover. I think I probably need to replace my covers after every 1-2 years at this rate. Overall, the covers are relatively inexpensive but if I do need to replace them often, I'll look into getting a more heavy duty solution.

Well made
I used to have a tarp to cover my firepit. While it seem to be the cheapest alternative at first, in the long run I found that they are falling apart just after one year, besides they donโt look good. Finally I decided to purchase a proper cover (Duck Covers brand). Fortunately it was delivered fast enough to arrive right before the recent bunch of rains, which put the cover for a test for a few days. I was pleased to find the inside of the firepit to be bone dry. The seams are made by gluing or hot welding, so no danger of rain coming through them. I do not know how well the fabric is breathable, it seems quite dense, but no condensation inside so far. I like how it looks on my firepit, definitely better than tarp, the picture is attached. Note that I got the size of the cover notably bigger than the fireplace. As for my experience the sizes of the covers usually run on the smaller side, so better to get bigger. Time will tell how well this cover last against Southern California sun and rain.

Very sturdy!
Bought this to replace the same one weโve had for the past 6 years! Weather and squirrels finally did it in. Great value, durable, and does the job well.
