Stopped working after 5 months!!! Won't switch on at all. Started off great. Good battery life and reliable. Then after about 3 months it would shut down by itself or fail to boot up, it would get so far then die. This got gradually worse, happening more frequently. Then one day it just wouldn't turn on at all! I have used it only a few times a week at most, have a case for it and have been extremely careful with it. There is not orange light when I connect the adapter anymore indicating that it has completely died. Totally unacceptable!Update! I contacted the HP service team who were very helpful, in the middle of lockdown they sent someone out to collect and fixed it within a few days and sent it back out to me, keeping in constant contact with the progress and collection/delivery times. I can't fault that after service and in the middle of lockdown too so for that I give it two extra stars from my original review. It's still working at the moment. Thanks HP credit where it's due.

I have to admit I wasn't sure what to expect with this due to the price and never having a chromebook before but this is brilliant! Certainly not the best screen quality or the most powerful thing i've used but if you're just the average user of a laptop this will be fine. Web browsing is speedy. I've tried netflix and youtube with no issues. Android apps also work fine.Best of all I installed a linux program which is surprisingly easy and it works fine. I've started learning web development so this is brilliant! This was my main concern about getting a chromebook as you couldn't install programs like you can on windows and mac but now you can this makes chromebooks verys usable devices.

Exactly what I wanted. Perfect for spreadsheets, emails and viewing You Tube and BBC Live. Also reviewing and setting up programmes on BBC Iplayer and ITV Hub etc. Only received on Saturday, so still finding out all its features. Have not had a chance to use DUO or Zoom yet but sure it will be great. Great keyboard, excellent screen, can recommend for a simple effective laptop. Delivered within 2 days - excellent service.

Wondering why I did not get one of these before. It does pretty well everything I used a lap top for and at far quicker speeds. Boosted the memory to 128gb with a £9 scandisk SD card so little it cannot handle. Good robust build with quality screen and sounds. A real steal for the price paid.

Okay so I’ve had this laptop for over two years now, and to be honest it’s always been too slow for my liking - it can’t handle multiple things happening at once so if you’re someone who hoards tabs- forget it. I think this is a common Chromebook issue though. Whatever, I’m not here to talk about that.Tonight, I’m lying in bed about to watch a movie on this thing (literally all I use it for) and it needs to be charged for the first time in forever (it does hold battery super well, but I normally keep it plugged in most of the time anyways) - now, i don’t know what possessed me to check, but I check both sides to see where to plug in the charger. But there’s a port it will fit into on both sides.I’m mildly surprised that they would do this, because surely this makes to easy to accidentally plug the charger into the wrong side? How annoying!But again, for some reason tonight, I am feeling experimental, I’m thinking outside the box. I try plugging it in on both sides. It charges on the left (the side I normally charge it, which is mildly inconvenient seeing as I plug the charger into the wall on my right). It charges on the right.You heard me. It charges. On. Both. Sides.BOTH SIDES!! YOU CAN PICK THE MORE CONVENIENT SIDE TO CHARGE THIS THING!WHY HAS NO LAPTOP DONE THIS BEFORE? IF IT WASNT SO DAMN SLOW ON YOUTUBE I WOULD GIVE THIS THING FIVE STARS FOR THIS INCREDIBLY USER FRIENDLY FEATURE ALONE!I will never be satisfied with another laptop again in my life, I will become so accustomed to charging my laptop on the side I want to use whenever I please.I mourn the two years I did not have this knowledge, and I will value every moment from now on as my wisdom continues to grow.Thank you.

Just bought my first HP Chromebook, got it at the right price, £150 from amazon, got the biggest size, 14" the fastest 2.1. wanted to get away from Microsoft as they are taking over my computer, trying to get me to use Microsoft edge, and slowing my computer down, and my CD drive won't work anymore, because of -microsoft up- dates. The new chromebook is very fast no waiting to go on-line. Has you-tube , Google, and facebook. and everything you need to go online and shop on amazon. I highly recamend it and think everyone should get one. Goodbuy.
