Good day, this will attach to either crossbars or raised side rails, ideally both. Thank you!

Q: What's all this about professional installation? Is that necessary? I thought it just strapped onto your existing car racks.

Amazon offers the professional installation on almost all roof rack products. I believe that the average person will have no issues installing a cargo bag on top of their car.

Q: Can it be used without racks

Yes, we used it on a 2010 Nissan Versa. Secured it using straps through the back 2 doors. Drove from New Jersey to Seattle. Used another tarp to cover it just to help with water protection. Worked well. We only kept clothes and lighter cargo in it. Hope this helps, good luck!
