Easy to install and I love the way it changed the look of my car

I love the way these lights look on my 2001 Golf. I like the dark look and that the light is different from anything I’ve seen around. Word of CAUTION during install though. Since I already had aftermarket lights before the wire leads were soldered so I had to strip and connect the new lights. While stripping the new wires one of the wires broke off the inside. I had to cut open the plastic body solder new wires to the board and piece everything back together. Definitely a Frankenstein job but the light works perfect. Just be careful if your gonna strip the wires, and when snapping them in place since it almost feels like it won’t fit but it snaps in and hold perfectly. I’ve had them installed for about a month now and everything still works great.

It wont let me upload a picture or video at the moment. But I just installed these in my MK4 GTI 337. The plastic plug with wires that goes into the light bulb socket is a little thick. They are hard to plug in, but that just means they shouldnt come apart after the lights are put on the fenders. I have mine set so the lights light up from front to back. And if you are super picky like me, there is a left and a right. Both sides have the stationary prongs towards the front of the car, with the flex tab on the door side. And there is tiny writing on the plastic covers that if they are on the correct side, they will be readable, not upside down. The lights do have a very tight fit, so I'm not sure how I'm going to take them out without breaking them, unless I take off the fender to be able to get to the flex tab to release the light. Last thing is these lights are thicker than the factory lenses, so they still out a little bit more.

Super simple install, literally took no more than 5 minutes. Go through the fender liner, pop out the OEM side markers, unclip the connector, plug in the new connector and pop the side marker into place! The only complaint I have, and I’m not even worried about it, is the side markers poke about 1/4”-1/2” past the fender. They don’t sit flush like the OEM side markers do. Nonetheless, I love the LED’s and even though they’re smoked, they’re actually really bright. 10/10 would recommend.

The lights are nice but I didn’t expect to have a dead led so early. I’ve had these since August 2020 and so far just 1 of the leds have died

They look good. I am happy with the operation of them. Only sucks that I have to get a new side marker sent as one of them have been sent defective and not working. But once thats sorted then it will be a good set of side marker lights.

One light quit working after a couple months. I barely drive the car.. Less than 500km was put on these lights...
