Great album. Unfortunately, mine had some playback issues...
I know the music of this album for a long, long time and really like it.I recently decided to add it to my vinyl collection, in blue vinyl no-less!Well, it's jazz and takes a certain mood for listening (I do like jazz but am not a regular listener). -My bad for not listening to the album sooner, but when I did -it was most unfortunate that there was obvious recording/manufacturing level damage (loud crackles and pops) throughout the last track on Side A that spoiled the whole track. It was well outside the return window when I realized it, so my loss.Otherwise the album is good. So, I guess the moral of the story is 'Buyer Beware!'!

Amazing sound & build quality -- unauthorized
I want to give it 5 stars because it's Kind of Blue, and the quality is incredible. Based on another reviewer here, I looked into the release and it is some kind of gray market bootleg version (the actual sales don't go to the artist's estate). I'm big on paying the people who make music the money they are due, even if they are dead, so that kind of sucks. In terms of music: It's Miles' Kind of Blue. It's one of the best jazz recordings of all time. That's my review.

Amazing naturalness and authenticity
First time having such UHQR discs. It doesn’t suffer fr the other Hifi excesses but provide very engaging sound. Highly recommend

Easy access to a jazz classic,
I had not heard the classic Miles Davis recordings since my LP equipment "bit the dust." I came across this CD on Amazon while searching for something else, and I ordered it.It arrived promptly and was just as I remembered. I have been playing it off and on ever since. Good quality sound (played on my CD player); quality packaging, and prompt service.

Great album; Record arrived slightly warped
Have loved this album for a long time - so when I started collecting vinyl, it was a must-get. Record arrived on time, but was slightly warped, which makes the initial music warble for a few seconds. Otherwise, it was a good buy and the warping is likely due to time in transit.

Very Good audio quality with the blue vinyl
So here's a review for the audiophiles. I'm using a Rega planar 3 turntable with the new Revel Performa3 126be monitors with beryllium tweeters, Vincent phono-pre-amp and the IDA-16 amp by NuPrime. Cables are Audio Art, Cardas, Audioquest, etc. Subwoofer is a SVS 3000 sealed unit. This is a dedicated two channel system, which also streams MQA files from Tidal and uses a Emotiva ERC-3 as a transport for the DAC. Given the space of my listening room, this is a fairly high resolving 2 channel system. So how does this sound? Honestly I can say that the vinyl is more listenable than the digital files, though the MQA quality is superb. The pretty blue LP is just a bit more rounded, a tad less harsh at times, horns are pure liquid. Now consider that the Rega 3 (brand new) has the Elys cartridge, which isn't even broken in yet (and hardly a higher end cartridge), and this is another case where the LP wins over the excellent digital files and CD. Obviously a better cartridge or table will get even more out of the album. My system may sound extreme to some, but there are people out there with turntables alone costing 10-15K or more. What you get out of any source material is always gong to be dependent on the capabilities of your audio gear. Cheers!

Amazing album on killer looking vinyl
A jazz classic. A great album, and excellent for anyone looking to get into jazz or just enjoy the work of a genre master.Apparently this is an unofficial release? I love the blue vinyl, it looks sharp. Quality is great, and the warm organic tone of vinyl only enhances enjoyment of the music on this album.

BLUE IS NOT BLUE
I have had this album for many years on CD but treated myself to a copy on blue vinyl, a great pressing which brings to life what the CD never quite manages. The tight and cohesive yet with a sense of laziness bass by Paul Chambers keeps the whole band in check at just the right pace and with Miles' trumpet enhanced by Coltrane and Adderley on their respective saxes add a depth and softness just not found on CD.This really is the true meaning of "less is more" in the world of jazz, if you don't have this album you should, a classic not just in the world of jazz but possibly one of the all time classic albums. As for the pressing on vinyl, great clear, clean and crisp pressing which in blue just adds to the touch of class this album is

Fabulous music, but made me kind of blue
This album is a must for any jazz lover, or indeed music lovers in general.I may have been unlucky, but the quality of the record was shocking with visible imperfections across both sides, a jump which I thought was going to be a loop and distortion on the brass on the first track. I didn't even bother to listen to any other track. After I had arranged the return I thought a review would be a good idea, I then noticed that it was advertised as 180gm vinyl, which it really didn't feel like at all. It is on blue vinyl which isn't to everyone's taste, but if the music is good who cares, but in this case, the music was very poor so I did care.If this was a used album, it would have been rated at Good, rather than VG and certainly nothing higher.Shall wait for a Sony pressing to come up....will cost a little more, but will be of higher quality and so a better investment.

No packaging!
This review is based on the delivery process and not the product. The item arrived with no packaging what so ever other than the cellophane, I work for Amazon so I know what the parcels go through before they leave the FC. The corner of the cover had bent over but the LP seems ok, I’ve bought a load of vinyl off Amazon since Xmas and it seems their new save the environment policy ie packaging has moved to fragile items also, looks like a trip in to town for vinyl from now on!

A fine, well cut and mastered disc!
Well, it took a second delivery to obtain a pristine clean fault free vinyl copy, but we got there!I have been getting back into vinyl in a big way in the past 18 months, having upgraded my phono cartridge and phono preamp.I already had this album as a remastered CD whichsounds pretty good, but reading the very positive reviews for the blue vinyl disc, tempted me to give it a try,Glad I did! There is something almost organic about well cut and pressed vinyl, the instruments and playing just jump out of the speakers at you. The bass lines at times go almost infrasound with that delicious long note decay. This album as well as Dave Brubeck’s Take Five should be in every new Jazz lover’s nascent collection. Thoroughly Recommended!

An All-Time Great Album in Brilliant Blue Vinyl!
If you're listening to this album for the first time, then my words aren't enough to express the enjoyment you should experience. If you're well aware of it's quality, then be aware that thankfully the album doesn't suffer as a result of the blue vinyl. The blue vinyl is obviously a materialistic feature but admittedly it looks gorgeous and ties into the experience of listening to the record. For what its worth, the vinyl itself is slightly transparent, in case you wanted extra detail on the physical feature. Considering this costs less, looks better and sounds exactly the same as the regular black vinyl, it makes sense to add this particular version to your record collection.
