I originally got these bottles for when I have a cold or sinus congestion and they work really well. There is nothing quite like the feeling of freshly irrigated sinus and nasal passages, and these do the job perfectly. When my toddler got her millionth cold of the year (hooray daycare germs!) I decided I'm going to use these for her too. I know they make a child version but honestly the only difference is the size. These are double the size (and the saline packets are double the size too) but who cares. I can choose to use as much saline as needed.Let's just say that after one treatment of flushing out her nasty boogers, she was hooked. She actually asks me to clean her nose whenever the mucus becomes too thick. It's so easy for anyone to use. Even a 3 year ol. I supervise and let her squeeze and we marvel at the stringy monstrosities that exit her nostrils.After using this sinus rinse bottle there is actually no need to use a snot-sucking device. In the past we used those blue bulb syringes to suck out the junk but this is really not needed anymore.That said, I tried this with my older son as well but did not have such a favorable experience. Whenever he gets colds, I think his ears become blocked too. Which is why whenever he uses this, the pressure of the saline rushing up into the sinuses as well as the vacuum it creates, causes him to feel much pain in his ears. So he's not such a fan, needless to say. However, he does squirt it up in a shallow way so it doesn't go up with pressure and just cleans the outer part of the nostrils. Much like using those regular bottles of premade saline. This is just more cost effective obviously.

The aluminum seal on the bottle under the cap was extremely hard to remove and left particles of aluminum around the opening, which could be harmful to your health. I threw bottle away as soon as I got the empty replacement bottles which is what I thought I was getting originally. Maybe the bottle containing the solution should be marked more clearly to avoid this mistake for others.

I have issues with sinusitis. I use this at night to keep my sinuses clear and healthy and sometimes during the day if the humidity is low to keep them from getting dry. It works great for me. Just don't use the same bottle for too much longer than recommended.
